Blackhat should rename to boring hat.

You gotta hacker who looks like Thor and appears to be a master of close combat but even if that doesn't make you roll your eyes, you will find your eye lids wanting to close because it was boring.

Unfinished business... Meh a few laughs here and a nice eye candy sequence in a sauna but otherwise a let down.

Black Sea with Jude Law. Really like this one. Rag tag merc type of Russians and English guys on an old sub looking for a long lost Navi sub rumored to be full of gold. Never heard of this film prior so had no expectations going in. It surprised me and enjoyed it.

Power corrupts. And the best symbols of heroism never seek glory but strive for justice.

THG: Mockingjay Part 2 is as understated as the movie franchise's first three installments. An oppressed populace unites for its freedom against a cruel and intractable leadership. Once again, Katniss Everdeen serves as the symbol of the revolution. It is a responsibility she never wanted or drew satisfaction from. However, it is a duty she embraces to rid the world of civil ruthlessness (President Snow) that hopefully lands undreamt freedom for her family, herself, and everyone else.

The final installment may be judged by other moviegoers as somewhat anticlimactic. I would agree with that assessment but I also think that's what makes this movie and the entire series so SO enjoyable. The last chapter doesn't conclude a war epic or bigger than life struggle between good and evil. It's the conclusion of a young woman's journey towards an emancipated future she didn't think was ever possible but one that she helped forge nonetheless.

If you guys have Netflix, there is a Kate Beckinsale and Ben Kingsley movie that went under the radar called Stonehearst Asylum, a psychological thriller set in a mental asylum.

I thought it was pretty good, 8/10.

Spectre sucked.. Bond seems so artificially contrived.. I'd give it 3/10...

Mission Impossible 5 is a thousand times better.. It's a great spy movie, without all the 'try too hard to be stylishly cool' main character... Cruise doesn't get much appreciation as an actor, but I think he's been pretty good, particularly with The Last Samurai and onwards..

Nothing better than nostalgic Stallone and Arnold 80/90's movies IMO. I can re-watch them all like it is the first time.

I'm not really a fan of First Blood, but Rambo and onwards, including watching flicks like Cobra and all the Arnold movies up to Total Recall and T2... Running Man.. Predator is one of my all time favorite movies..

Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close - 9

I never even knew this movie existed, ran across it on HBO. An excellent movie that those onion cutting ninjas try to make an appearance.

Iceman.

80's movie with Timothy Hutton where they find, and thaw out, a neanderthal man.

No...Not the one with Pauley Shore lol.

Not a bad movie once you get past the idea of him being able to survive all those years.

First time I have seen it since the 80's and it holds up ok.

The Hateful Eight ~ It's a Quentin Tarantino film. If you like his films you should like this one too. It's long, crazy, blatently distruptive of flow and lots of death. It's a Tarantino film. :) It was good. I enjoyed it.

The Revenant ~ It's a heavy movie to watch. Not the best choice to watch right after watching the Hateful Eight. The story is about Huge Glass, but it's only loosely based on it. They turned it into a revenge story, but even the events of the bear and his survival are thrown off the deep end which how exaggerated they are. Any man would have been dead in minutes and some how he drags himself for miles and survives when he was a vegetable on a gurney prior to being ditched. Not to mention at the rate his back and other parts of his body were bleeding, he would have bled out in minutes. Still, it was decent enough of a movie. If you want a heavy, long movie that's believability will keep you rolling your eyes. This movie is for you. :)

22 Jumpstreet - I dont see how this movie got a 7 rating on IMDB, it was total garbage. Heck calling it garbage, is an insult to garbage. Movie companies have to be paying people to give movies ratings, that is the only logical explanation.

So basically same idea as a bunch of cowboy fans on a message board uniting to pay for a message board to overthrow the tyrannical owner of the team

Where have I heard this story before ? Hmmm.....

The Seven Five - 9

I caught this on showtime this morning. It is about corrupt cops in the 75th precinct in NY in the late 80's/early 90's. An excellent documentary and a must see if you like crime/police dramas. It is a true story with real characters, not re-enacted.
