Rate the last movie you saw

Things are tough all over - One of the Cheech and Chong movies...you either like them or you don't. I tend to like them but some are better than others.

The flight of the Pheonix (remake) - I still like this movie...I still like the original as well.

The Martian 8/10. Pretty true to the book. Matt Damon was good. Saw it in 3-D, it was worth the extra cash.

the Visit, 4 out of 10.

Seems like the police could have put 2 and 2 together before the kids got there.

Sicario - 5/10. Meh. Starts and ends (not the very end) good, then the rest is untealized promise. The score tries to build a lot of tension, but ultimately there is nothing to build up. Emily Blunt's character is the lead, but ultimately irrelevant. She's just there.

The Martian - 7.5/10. Entertaining and solidly constructed. Perhaps more tension could have been used, but that may have defeated part of the point. Matt Damon was Matt Damon, but a more enjoyable and less douchey version. Light hearted and jovial in dire circumstances. Could have built up some of the crew more I think, but the run time was getting long already. Enjoyable, but I don't feel I need to see it again.

Sin City A dame to kill for : They tried to capture the magic of the first and although they did most of the same things, it just could not come close to it IMO.

If you like seeing Eva Green's breast, than this movie is the movie for you as you will see plenty of them, if you think you are getting a good sequel/prequel to the Sin City movie...you are out of luck.

I liked the eye candy but it just could not make up for the let down of the rest of the movie compared to the first.

Nothing better than nostalgic Stallone and Arnold 80/90's movies IMO. I can re-watch them all like it is the first time.

So much better than all the "PC/weak man culture/strong woman culture"-trash being released today.

Black Mass. 6/10. Pretty generic movie, I would say. Didn't feel blown away by anyone's performance, and the script wasn't all that compelling.

Atticus Institute - Mockumentary style low budget movie.

Summary from IMDB

In the fall of 1976, a small psychology lab in Pennsylvania became the unwitting home to the only government-confirmed case of possession. The U.S. military assumed control of the lab under orders of national security and, soon after, implemented measures aimed at weaponizing the entity. The details of the inexplicable events that occurred are being made public after remaining classified for nearly forty years.

I gotta about 40 minutes into it and probably would not have made it that far if it were not from also messing around on my tablet. Maybe I was just tired but it was just boring.
I don't mind low budget movies and the whole mockumentary style can be ok if the story is interesting...this really was not.

Crimson Peak - 3/10. What a terrible movie. Lame story. Lame characters. Awful dialogue. And while the environment was visually interrsting, narratively it was ridiculous. Just awful.

Don't expext anything like the trailers. Very misleading about what kind of movie this is.

Hotel Transylvania 2... 6/10

Kids movie, so about what you expect. I like the general overall message of acceptance, tho.

Bad Boys II
8/10

Can never go wrong with a late night boom boom explosion movie. "We ride together. We die together. Bad Boys for life." lol
