Spectre sucked.. Bond seems so artificially contrived.. I'd give it 3/10...

Mission Impossible 5 is a thousand times better.. It's a great spy movie, without all the 'try too hard to be stylishly cool' main character... Cruise doesn't get much appreciation as an actor, but I think he's been pretty good, particularly with The Last Samurai and onwards..

Well, isn't Cruise one of the top grossing actors of all time? I know a lot of people don't like his personal beliefs, but whatever. MI 5 was really good.

Keanu Reeves also grosses a lot, but he's not recognized as a great actor. Both have great movies, I just don't think Cruise gets that much props for his acting.

Spotlight: 7/10. It was pretty good for what it was. It was well paced and kept me interested. Decent acting, but nothing really great. It got great reviews by the critics, but I didn't think it was anything special. I wouldn't watch it again.

Going back a ways...DC Cab. Was on late night sometime this weekend so I recorded it and watched it sunday morning.
Still cheesy and silly but still fun to watch. Also something to see Adam Baldwin looking so young.

Google play store had 75% off one movie rental so I found one of the cheaper ones and watched Mad Max Fury Road. If you like action it was good. I still think I like the original Mad Max and Thunderdome ones better but it was still not stop action.

Spring Break - cheesy 80's teen flick where guys go on spring break and you get to see some eye candy and goofy hi-jinks. If I did not like it as a young adult I probably would hate it now...but there is that nostalgia. I have recorded Hardbodies and will watch it soon...IIRC Spring Break was better back in the day.

The Condemned....Stone Cold Steve Austin movie. Of the few I have seen of his, this is the only one I liked and it seems like it could have been made in the 80's during the big cheesy low budget movies ala chuck norris. But this specific one is ok...maybe because I like Vinnie Jones playing the bad guy.

Up the creek and hardbodies.. Nowhere as good as I recall them. Watched up the creek a year or so back... Best part of the movie was the dog.

Hot dog and bachelor party still funny.

The Big Short: 9/10

Great movie all around. Lots of comedy, breaking the 4th wall, and they kept a somewhat boring and complex subject matter fun and informative for the lay man. The acting was great. I felt like all of the actors put out good performances, including the support cast members.

I agree with everything you said. Really enjoyed this movie despite the two idiots next to me who talked through the entire film.

Heist

Had Robert Dinero in it.

Pretty good show. Don't wanna give anything away but it's worth a watch. It's in the redbox.

The Revenant. Long but very good movie. Entertaining. Good CGI. He gets an Oscar nomination. Could get into the revenge angle but its been done so much. Romantic in an odd way. Won't create a spoiler for that.

Recommend you see it.

7.5/10.0

A good movie that pays true homage to the original films. Tom Hardy does a good job reincarnating Max but I think Charlize Theron steals the movie solidly. The villains are very menacing but maybe not terrifying. The chase scenes are fantastic. Nicholas Hoult's role as blind follower turned good guy was paced well. Your heart kinda goes out to him. Poor guy. And Zoe Kravitz sneaks into yet another movie. Lisa and Lenny made an attractive young woman but Zoe must work on her acting depth to break through to the top-tier roles.

Not sure why it took me so long to catch the movie. Maybe I didn't think it would live up to the hype. I was wrong. Mel Gibson's still the Mad Max though.

13 Hours - Most of the talk about this movie is probably going to center around the politics that surround it. Fortunately, the movie doesn't really get much into all of that, save for a few lines here and there. The film may indirectly reinforce your already existing perceptions of the political aspects, but it doesn't make a point to focus on those issues.

I would compare this film to Black Hawk Down. The feel is very similar except this takes place mostly at night where BHD was mostly during the day. The feel is also very different from Bay's Transformers films (thankfully) with a much more serious tone (though not lacking humor - non toilet variety).

My biggest complaint would be that at times it was very difficult to determine what was going on (mostly during the earlier parts of the attack). I am not sure if this was an intentional effort to mimic the chaos of the situation, or just some poor editing. I know some will say that is just like Transformers, but I had no trouble following those at all. The poor sound in the theater I went to didn't help matters as dialogue was a struggle sometimes.

Overall - 7/10

Agree with most of this too. If you like war type movies, it is worth seeing in the theatre. Part of me wanted it to get more political because I don't exactly know what our politicians(Hillary) exactly were trying to accomplish.

Overall, a very good movie, 8/10 from me. The dialog was hard to decipher at times, way too much background noise.

They were having a sale on Google Play store of some of the QT movies. Django was one on sale.

I had to get it for the price $4.99 (normally a rental fee)

Still love the move.

Grand Budapest Hotel. 9/10

If you haven't seen this yet, you're doing it wrong. Classic Wes Anderson movie. Quirky, funny, and visually stunning. It might be my all-time favorite movie now, or close.

Hot dog and bachelor party still funny.

I was so young and innocent I thought bachelor party was basically pron.ha. The lesbian scene was pretty darn funny. I remember sneak watching it on HBO lol

Finally got around to seeing Bad Grandpa

Not sure why they decided to make it a part movie instead of the normal gags but if you liked the Bad Grandpa scenes in the Jackass show and movies you should like the Bad Grandpa movie. The scene with the male strippers had me rolling.

Avengers Age of Ulton - Saw this on a bootleg version on Youtube a long ways back and the quality was so bad that when I watched it on one of the movie channels this weekend it was like watching it for the first time lol.
It was ok and kind of cool but kind of a let down as I was a big Vision fan in the comics and they did not really show him much until towards the end.

Entourage - Loved the show when it was on HBO and they were having a marathon of them during the week and into the weekend so I got to see them again and then the movie and it was good if you liked the show. Oh and the eye candy from the blond girl that hooked up with E...meow.

Bone Tomahawk - Kept seeing great reviews for this movie but when I watched the trailer(s) for it, it seemed very boring.
The movie is long, it is an indie picture, the budget is a little low but not terrible for the movie. It is one of those movies that while you are watching it you are thinking...man this is slow, man this is kind of boring but at the same time it keeps your interest to the point of wanting to see how it turns out and after you watched the whole movie you liked it even if it was too long, too slow and boring in areas. Not sure how else to describe it. It is just weird but I enjoyed it after watching it. I would imagine it would be more for someone who likes westerns but it could be for anyone. I doubt I would buy the movie but since google play store was having 75% any movie rentals I figured I would give it a go and if it sucked I was only out around a buck. It had Kurt Russell, Matthew Fox (jack from lost), Patrick Wilson, David Arquette plays a short role and the girl from banshee in it (amish girl).
