Sudden Impact and The Dead Pool will have to wait.

Charlie Wilson’s War...just watched it for the 3rd time, I give it an 8...but I’m a big Tom Hanks fan, so a little bias.

Annihilation - 8/10

Sci Fi in the purest sense. Leaves you with far more questions than answers. It’s a slow-burner but I’d recommend it.

Just watched this and enjoyed it.

The producer thought it was too intellectual and complicated for widespread appeal, and he may have been right, but the director refused changes.

Star Wars The Last Jedi - Didn't like the acting quality and the movie seemed awkward at best.

Downsizing - If you had seen the trailer and had high hopes, well don't, waste of time and money.

I have been hesitant about seeing the movie even with Portman, who I like a lot. Relaying what the producer said has motivated me into going to see it now. Thanks for helping me making up my mind. ;) :)

Years ago I seen an oddball movie with Clint Eastwood called The Beguiled.

A few of us talked about how Kooky it was in one of the threads years ago.

Of course many know that they made a movie Called The Beguiled a year or so ago. Many did not know it was a remake.

It was on last night so I figured, if they remade it, surely they would make it more suspenseful or more of a thriller than the original as the original was pretty boring and kooky.

It was a complete snooze fest. I thought with about 20 minutes left it would really amp up the action or suspense but nope...If anything it was a little less than the original an even had a throw away line
of something that was done in the original but not in this one.

I know the original was limited but if you are going to remake an already boring and obscure film, might as well make it much better...not worse.

Game Over! Man (Netlfix orig,)
It's from the same guys who created/acted on Workaholics but was a little let down. Had some great laughs but was a little long for a stoner flick which they oddly left out as part of their "routine". Had Ders doing salvia as the lone user; no one does that stuff.

Just watched Ali Friday night on HBO. It was okay. I like Will Smith, and he did a good job, but I wish they'd cast an unknown for the part, because I couldn't forget it was Smith, and not Ali.
Also, the movie was slow, and it seemed to cover random bits of his life.

Ator - The Fighting Eagle
Myles O'Keefe...
Other people...

Good- End-Of-Your-Saturday-Night flick. Which means I'll be watching it at least once a day, for the next few weeks...

Just watched Mystics of Bali also.
Pretty good... I liked the part where the girl finally goes all the way and her guts are hanging out of her mouth, as she meanders about.
This is film making!

Just last night I watched the 1997 movie Jack Frost with the addition of RiffTrax:

I enjoyed the experience with the addition of RiffTrax and highly recommend it:

I hated the first one too. It's like a high budget Power Rangers.....and the final battle was just idiotic. "Oh, I'm getting my butt kicked, and I'm about to die....I guess this would be a good time to break out this giant sword that kills the monster like child's play!"
