I wouldn't say I didn't like it at all. I just found it mostly unnecessary, and overlong. The "scares" were just the same type of thing from the first, so they didn't really have an impact. I thought the humor was still good, and Bill Hader was excellent.

But, I did enjoy John Wick 3 a great deal (just purchased the 4K UHD yesterday), even though I thought it dragged in the middle (the battle with the dogs I thought was repetitive). Great action, particularly the knife fight early on.
Using the horses was clever, funny, and original too, I thought.

I caught Mortal Engines last night and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. I was not familiar with the background on it but the sfx were good and the premise was interesting. I waited around to see who was behind it and discovered it was Fran Walsh and Peter Jackson of "The Lord of the Rings".

It got very bad reviews, and TBH, it looked pretty bad in the trailers...but now I guess I have to check it out.

I hadn't watched it based on the same thing but recorded it off HBO and just got around to it yesterday.

It's a sfx type of movie and I can get into that if they're done well like Ready Player One. I didn't know the subject matter so I am not comparing it to the source.

Maybe until he joined Queen, but after that he lived to excess.

No doubt he lived to excess. But he seemed more lonely after he became famous. The girl moved on, he lived with his cats, the band broke up. Just had people sponging off him, but no real relationships leading up to Live Aid. He brought those things on himself, but it was still sad. You really felt terrible for the guy..

I don't think he wanted to be what he was, he really loved her but could not fight his inner self.

She only moved on because he pushed her away. He screwed around with guys until he found the one he wanted to stay with.

Not really a movie, but I watched the latest Comedy Central Roast of Alec Baldwin last night I have to say, I laughed my butt off.... While the roast was harsh on his voicemail to his daughter, being kicked off a plane for not shutting down his cellphone, and even more harsh for his lack of movies his brothers have been in lately, there was a good diaz roasting him.....There was a part of the roast it felt like a transsexual movement of sorts being Mrs. Jenner was evolved, you know there were many old jokes for DeNiro, and even more boring guy jokes for Adam Carolla..... Take in the fact it was hosted by the known happy person from Will and Grace, and added a few misfits that would hit all sexual undertones in their roasting, made for a good roasting..... No one really disappointed unless you were Lady Gaga, which even her thing was speaking of a good cause.... All in all it was a fun night..... Not as good as Bruce Willis's roast but darn funny..... I would recommend if you are not of an alternative lifestyle.....If you are. I hope you know the roasting was all in good fun and not to be taken seriously.....

I'll have to watch that one. I think the last one I saw was Justin Beiber's. That was brutal, and well deserved.

Just watched Mortal Engines. I recommend it, if you're high. If not, I don't. I found the whole premise silly, the dialogue corny, and the cinematography bland. There's honestly not a single thing about it I found noteworthy. The whole concept of the cyborg zombie thing was completely pointless, and did little more than distract from the story.

Overall, I give it a 5.5/10.

So I watched Ad Astra yesterday afternoon and was underwhelmed.

The storyline was really flat and predictable.

Rented The House October Built on Amazon because I wanted a scare. Decent scares, but it seemed forced. Tried to utilize the deep south backwoods as a creepy element but then brushed it off. And alot of times it just seemed like an elaborate haunted house commercial. I give it a 4 of 10, only because it was somewhat effective as far as creepiness.

If you want a really really good found footage film centered around a scare house ( or whatever you call them) check out Hell House LLC. One of the better indie found footage ive seen.

Indie found footage films are becoming a favorite genre for me as far as new horror movies go. Some really good stuff out there if you look for it.

Watched "Rambo Last Blood". It was good, not a masterpiece, but this is Rambo. It is telling the story the mainstream media doesn't want to talk about what is coming from South of the border. Solid B+

Well hell, see if I recommend another movie to you. Damn, how demanding can one person be? Sound premise, good dialogue, inspiring cinematography, note worthiness and zombies that aren't cyborgs? And here, I thought distracting from the story was a good thing.

Ok, Ok, OK!!!!! I wasn't high but I did have a gentle buzz that I maintained nicely throughout the viewing. And I like chicks with scars in movies like that.

I'll wait for it because I'll buy it. Damned shame when a man is obsessive with these series and can't help himself. When company comes, I have to hide Rocky V or explain myself.
