Venom
Venom is a Sony film. You won’t see it on Disney+
Venom
Okay, didn't know who owned it, which is why I mentioned "one of the streaming services". I've checked Netflix, Hulu, and Prime. From the reviews I've seen, I'm not willing to dish out money to watch it, but I am curious to see it.Venom is a Sony film. You won’t see it on Disney+
Crap. I guessed it was Fox, which does not make sense since Disney acquired Fox's properties.Venom is a Sony film. You won’t see it on Disney+

Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings
8.50 of 10.00
Starts slow in my opinion. The teaser and trailers kinda spoil the first 30-45 minutes. I like Awkwafina's sense of humor after seeing her in other stuff but I am not sure how receptive it will be to general audiences. She should grow on folks as the movie progresses I think.
By the END of the movie? One of the best Marvel movies in my book. Superb action/fight scenes Solid casting for all the main characters. Simu Liu will be killing it for the next few years. Michelle Yeoh is good in everything she does.
First end credits cut scene pops in about 2-3 minutes into the scroll.
Do
NOT
miss
it.
Last cut scene hits after the credits finish. I believe it is worth waiting for,
It is probably best if conversation does not start about the evolution of the book title and character.i plan to see it sometime next week ..i love the marvel comic series when i was a kid, when it was titled " Hands of Shang Chi - Master of Kung ** "
which i still want to read into why was the title changed in exchange of " Legends of the Ten Rings "
the more Shang Chi became " moderized " .i guess .the less interesting ithe comics became. and it ended up being discontinued
i guess the creators got tired and ran of out of ideas .. like a lotta 2nd tier comics tend to do.
I always thought Shang Chi would arrive more as a streaming series on Disney rather than it's own feature live film.
The opening trailer reminds of the new Mortal Kombat film. with over the top CGI effects - but i'll wait it out to see the entire
film to see if its the Real Deal Holifield.

That is kinda hard for me to say with the MCU movies you selected. I would rank those particular four after going back and trying to find my actual grades as:I haven't looked at your rating of other MCU movies. With plot differences aside, where would you rate this? 8.5 for me would be around Captain Marvel/Black Panther level, but beneath Winter Solder/Civil War.
That is kinda hard for me to say with the MCU movies you selected. I would rank those particular four after going back and trying to find my actual grades as:
1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier [9.75 of 10.00] *I think*
2. Black Panther (9.275 of 10.00) *I think*
3. Captain America: Civil War (9.00 of 10.00)
4. Captain Marvel (8.00 of 10.00)
My CA:TWS and BP reviews must have been done in another thread. Cannot find them anywhere, even in other Off-Topic threads created around each films' release date. And those threads may have gone "POOF!*.
Anyway, I kinda remember giving CA:TWS a near perfect grade and BP either a 9.275 or 9.375 of 10.000). I linked the two reviews found in this thread above.
So, to answer your question based on my ranking of your selected films, Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings would fall between CA:CW and CM in my opinion.
I am not nearly as high on Thor: Ragnarok but all the Shang-Chi fight scenes were outstanding in my opinion.Just saw it today.. Up there with at least the third Thor, Ragnarok, meaning the best among the Marvel franchise. The first fight scene of Shang-Chi on the bus is among the best for even a Hong Kong Action fight scene, it was so sick.
This is just my assumption but you might feel the movie is dragging early on. I think the movie will start fulfilling your anticipation for it around the fight club scene, which is not a spoiler since it is mentioned/shown in the trailers. That's pretty impressive. I wasn't as enthusiastic about this one because I'm not familiar with the character, but I'll definitely go see it now.
Correction @Boom
I had given Black Panther a 9.25 of 10.00:

Found that review but the one for Captain America: The Winter Soldier still alludes me...
Do not give it a second thought. That is just my OCD kicking in.Thanks for looking this up, DE. I didn't intend on sending you down the review rabbit hole in search for this. All I really wanted was a general area of where it landed in a tiered list of MCU films.
