"Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2" (2000)

Yeah, it was suppose to be a sequel but more like a movie that comments on the first one rather than being a sequel of the events of the first film.

"Blair Witch" (2016) is more of a direct sequel to the "Blair Witch Project" (1999).

Anyway back to "Book of Shadows"...

It came out, made some money but was trashed by critics and movie goers for the most part.

I think many expected a movie that was going to be more like the original or tie-in more to the original but "Book of Shadows" was not like that. It is structured more like your traditional horror film.

Of the last few years the movie has won over some critics and gained a few fans. As a sequel to the "Blair Witch Project" but as its own horror film–I think it does a decent job!

IMDB rated it 4.0/10 but that carries all the anger and disappointment of movie watchers who were expecting something much different.

I rate it much higher at 5.5/10

I think it's a decent movie.

4.75 of 10.00

I did not know any film could make 2012 or Geostorm look like movie classics.

The guy from Game of Thrones outshined Halle Berry. How is that possible?

There was one scene where the special effects was just... sad.

There are just SO MANY! His claim to fame is Independence Day, and ‘destruction on a large scale’, and that’s it.
I enjoyed ID4, The Day After Tomorrow and Stargate--plus his multiple television Stargate series (except Universe)--but practically everything else seems like stuff he threw together for a quick buck. Now he has a remake of Stargate in production. It will be sad if it is as substandard to its original as Independence Day: Resurgence was to ID4.

I agree about the original Stargate. But to me, he just does ‘disaster porn’ after ID4’s initial success. And I definitely agree that the sequel was unwatchable trash. I saw that for free and still felt robbed! And to think that they actually thought that there would be a sequel for that thing and a trilogy!

I'm pretty sure the writers or director or someone high up in the Stargate movie hated the tv series that came after.

Well, they are hasshak if they have a problem with SG-1.

I just view it as an alternate universe. So SG-1 had similar events to the movie too, but it wasn't the same universe, which explains some of the inconsistencies between the movie and the show.

Back when SG-1 first came out, I was blown away by Michael Shanks impression of James Spader's Daniel Jackson.

there is just ‘something’ about that original Stargate movie that grabs your interest

"Last House on the Left" (2009)

Remake of the infamous 1972 film by Wes Craven.

I admit I like "revenge" movies.

Sorta of a tie-in to my many year enjoyment of professional wrestling where the heel would punish the face to a point where the hate for the heel was red-hot– And then you know what happened.

Same thing with revenge movies.

This is a brutal film, but not nearly as brutal as the 1972 version.

It's a good flick.

It carries a 6.5 rating on IMDB and I would give it the same.

Terrifier

Good ole slasher flick with a clown doing the slashing.

Pretty good show, a little bad acting but all in all I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Quite gory!
