The Slammin’ Salmon

I don’t know how I’ve never heard of this gem, it is the right amount of cheezy goodness :muttley:

It has most of the cops from Super Troopers in it along with a good cast. It is worth the watch if you like those corny movies like me

Broken Lizard is the group name of those guys.

This one had some funny parts in it but still not as good as Super Troopers or Beerfest.

Although better than Club Dread IMO

I will not include the Dukes of Hazard movie they did.

Evil Dead Rise 8/10. If you like the franchise, you’ll like this. Wasn’t perfect, but really enjoyable.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

I gotta say I was disappointed, I liked the other Ant Man movies, but this one just fell flat. It just felt like the story was lost and depended on sfx to carry the movie. Some of the performances were good, liked Michael Douglas but felt like Paul Rudd mailed it in. Kinda mixed about Kang, the performance was alright, but just something about Kang as the big multi-movie villain just doesn't excite me. Overall I liked the CGI, but wow, MODOK was distractedly bad, It looked like a bad photoshop on a meme in a forum. Marvel just seems to want to go bigger and bigger, bigger stakes and more eye candy, but it feels like the story and characters are getting lost along the way. 6/10 :(

Actually I think some of the CGI and practical effects in Iron Man or Avengers (1) are better than what they ship these days. It's not only over the top but does look really cheap alot of times. That second Dr Strange movie was horrible. The last Thor was really bad too (in all aspects lol).

I own the 4k Blu rays of the Iron Man Trilogy and Avengers as well. And boy do they still look awesome on OLED.

I watched Guardians of the Galaxy again since it was on. I really like that movie and I am not ashamed to admit it. I can't believe that is Karen Gillan playing Nebula. LOL. Chris Pratt is a likeable guy.
Marvel peaked with it. They have nothing of that calibur, including the 2nd GotG

They are now the gambler who won't leave the table with their winnings; they are going to keep rolling until they are quality broke

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets on Prime.

Combine The Fifth Element, Guardians of the Galaxy, Indiana Jones, Avatar, and Ready Player One and that'll give you some idea of this movie. Fairly entertaining, with very good special effects.

I'd give it a 7/10.

You're Killing Me -
Had not heard of it so went in with low expectations.
Was not bad. Nothing ground breaking but an interesting premise.
Girl goes to party and finds/sees something she should not. Chaos ensues.

Sick -
Starts out with the standard teenage slasher movie with hints of scream.
And with that it was ok, your run of the mill slasher type movie.
However when you learn the killers motivation, that is when it turns pretty stupid
and over the top satire of some events over the last few years.
Still not a bad film for what it was initially, just the ending was one of those you
gotta be kidding me things.

lol. Is 'she' Cara Delevingne? Milla Jovovich? Zoe Saldana? Karen Allen? Blue Zoe Saldana? Olivia Cooke? I'm assuming Delevingne but I'm covering all the bases. :D
LoL I never even cared about her name but since the others aren't in that movie, it's gotta be Cara Delevingne.

And why did my phone suggest that last name right after writing Cara? Didn't know it had good taste lol.

Watched Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets with some friends. We had a drinking game going that we'd had to take a drink every time they said Valerian, Laureline, or showed a pearl. o_O

We're all lucky to still be alive. I think half of Cara Delevingne's dialogue is the word Valerian, especially during the big chase scene. Nevertheless, she was the best part of the protagonist duo. ;)

In fact, Dane DeHaan's Keanu Reeves impression was distracting. Definitely the worst part. His best scene was when he was sitting in the background while Rihanna just put on a show. :flagwave:

Besides the scrawny male protagonist, who should've at least did a few bicep curls before filming, the other negative for the movie is sometimes the details of the plot was hard to follow.

I agree, definitely The Fifth Element and Avatar vibes. I'd add Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace to that list. Specifically the Gungans of Naboo, i.e. the aliens after Rihanna.

I also agree with your score. The special effects were mostly great and it was mostly entertaining. I mostly enjoyed it and I mostly recommend it. Or I was just drunk. Maybe both.
