I watched Black Hawk Down because I had not watched it. But, for some reason, I watched the whole thing. Based on a true story. It's amazing what our Military has to go do. Special forces.

"Hobgoblins" (1988) courtesy of an episode of MST3K.

What a god-awful movie.

Mike Nelson and the bots had several good lines, but what a horrific movie.

Features everything that was bad about the 80's. Can't believe anyone would waste their time making a movie this bad.

A Tale of Two Sisters (Japan, 2003, subtitled, horror)

Psychological type of drama / horror. Very strange film... didn't really make sense until I re-watched it, and I'm STILL not sure I fully understand what in the world happened during the movie.

6 out of 10

Oldboy (Japan, 2003, subtitled, mystery/thriller/drama)

Holy. Cow. A guy is imprisoned for 15 years, and has no idea who did it nor why. He and a restaurant waitress woman together try to figure things out...and...just. Wow. Boggle.

Bad Grandpa 8/10 Parts of the movie had me laughing as much as I ever had watching a movie. It isn't the type of humor for everyone, but I enjoyed it very much. There was a family in front of me and one of the kids was about 4-5 years old. I could not do anything but SMH. Luckiy the kid behaved well, but I am sure most of the humor went well over his head.

Thor - The Dark World

I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

Better than the first, less time focused on Earth, and the actors all seemed more comfortable with their characters.

Tom Hiddleston is just awesome as Loki.

Great casting, great actor.

Agreed on all accounts, especially the bold. My only real gripe was the music, and a not very clear explanation of how Erik's spikes worked exactly.

I watch the sound of music for a few seconds every time it comes on, and I am still perplexed that that they even made that stupid movie, much less people paying to go see it back in the day, or that someone in programming still runs it. They usually term something as a CLASSIC if its crap. I rate it less than 0.

World War Z was pretty fair....7

From time to time.

Reminds me a little of the Disney movie holes where it switches between past and present but it has someone who travels between the two times. More of a family film. It is English and has Maggie Smith who always seems to play her roles well.

I think k I enjoyed it as one of those movies that I have never heard about and was a pleasant surprise.

Hostel 3. Not as good as the first two but an OK watch for what it was.

Brain scan... Not great but a movie I watched years ago and caught again.

The last dragon. Still as cheesy as I remembered it being years ago but still gotta love the predictable ending and over the top bad guy Show Nuff lol

Oh I caught the last three movies for free with the crackle app you can get on your DROID tablet or I pad. Not a tone of movies but some OK ones for free. Check out devils backbone on there foreign movie with subtitles from the guy who made pans labrynth

The premise of Oldboy is incredibly intriguing. A great movie. I hope the American remake doesn't tarnish it.

Thor: The Dark World

7.5/10.

Much better than the first, and honestly I’d put it 3rd best in this series of Marvel films that have come out, behind the Avengers and the first Iron Man.

All the characters had time to shine without it getting in the way of the plot, the plot was pretty straight forward, there were not a tremendous amount of plot holes, and the final battle sequence was clever. And it had some great laughs throughout.

There was not one thing in this film where I was like “It was good up until then” (like **IRON MAN 3 SPOILERS** Pepper Potts going battle crazy with extremis technology.)

Tip for movie goers: There are two post credit scenes to this movie

12 Years a Slave: 8/10. Nothing really new here, but some very good performances that ultimately make it a powerful film. Also good use of lingering shots that add to the impact of some scenes.

The following are lower budget straight to DVD type of movies that have been on some of the Movie Channels like Showtime.

Excision - Good grief that is a twisted movie. Won't say it is that great but it is really twisted. Not for young eyes at all.

Would you rather - Kind of interesting but nothing original

Chained - Could have been done better but overall I kind of liked this one.
