Rate the last movie you saw

It had potential but was just messy. Only watch if you like the horror genre, are really bored and just cannot find anything else to watch.

Tried watching this before but stopped. So I thought I would give it another try. Some real weird decisions on the filming style. IF you like some gory images, terrible topics and demonic images. You might like this. The story is not great although could have been better. But the gore and special effects are pretty good for a smaller budget film. This reminds me a tad of Terrifier. I liked art the clown in the first one and he was also in an anthology movie prior to that called all hallows eve. However the second and third Terrifier were just so scattershot and seemed more intent in trying to be an attempt to gag the viewer with all of the gore for the sake of gore. This one is like that in some areas. It is poorly directed. But again if you like some gore and demonic type movies you might give it a go.

Night Patrol: 0/10

This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I like Justin Long movies, in general. I almost turned it off halfway through, but the action picked up a bit. It tries to be about 10 different movies in one, and just doesn't hit. The acting and dialogue are horrible from everyone. The premise is just asinine. Instead of leaning into that, and making it funny, they tried to make it serious. Just skip it.

It is not terrible. The acting, cinematography and direction is ok. The problem is some things are so predictable. Other things defy what those individuals would do, like research the condition of the area or climb.

Some of the action/fight scenes are ok but overall it is just goofy especially for the two pale haired individuals being into weird fetish worlds.

Foreign "horror" film. Standard idiot young people run across psycho killer genre Not really a spoiler here but the wind up in a hotel that has been closed for 30ish years. The boyfriend hurts his girlfriends feelings so he decides to come back to the room with a breakfast tray to make it up to her. However there is an orange or grapefruit cut into pieces. Guess they do not get bad after sitting around for 30ish years lol

The first, second and fourth movies of the franchise are the best.
I did not like the third one. The 5th one, Insidious the Red Door was kind of meh as well. This last one Out from the Further was not quite as good as the first, second and fourth but better than the third and fifth. If you like the franchise I think you will like this one.

Cowboys vs Buccaneers

Horror/Comedy genre on Prime

Two bumbling idiots leading their football teams. Trying to see who can be the biggest failure.
One team owner resembles a drunk mummy, who's bandages have come off. Pretty creepy to be honest.

It started ok, the middle was probably the worst thing I've seen on the screen in awhile, followed by a train wreck finale.

0/10

I think that was a Uwe Boll movie.
If you know...you Know.

John Carpenter’s Vampires: 7/10

I’m admittedly rating this higher than it should be, just due to nostalgia. The script is a mess, but it’s a good premise and James Woods actually somehow works as a tough guy, although I’m not sure how. People said John Carpenter phoned it in for this one, but I don’t see it. There are some nice shots, and good action scenes. It wasn’t his material and he was brought in late to do it with a limited budget. It’s a highly flawed movie, but I always liked it for some reason.

Saw Obsession and Hereditary for some Halloween fun.

Really liked Obsession. Pacing and acting were spot on. Fun movie.

I heard a lot about Hereditary being one of the scariest films of all time. Maybe I was too distracted watching it, but I didn't find is scary at all. Slow pacing until the end. The acting was good (especially the lead woman), but the movie was just alright for me.

I'm not a horror flick kinda guy; I find most of them stupid and predictable, using loud noises and jump scares, rather than suspense and good writing. But I liked Obsession a lot. The acting and the story were top notch.

Fall was a surprise. I rented that back during the Redbox days. Redbox would give out free movie kickdowns a lot, and I had a free code that was about to expire, so I tried it on Fall. I ended up thinking it was a pretty decent movie.

Disclosure Day. Free on Peacock.

Stopped it once, came back, and able to get through it. Definitely one of Spielberg's worse movies. From crop circles, to remote viewing, to black helicopters and illuminati type organizations -- I couldn't help but shake the notion that this would have been a cool movie 30 years ago at the peak of Art Bell's show, but now just looks like a fancy high budget outdated turd. I'm not sure Spielberg has kept up much with society. If you want better quasi-real movies about first contact, recommend other movies like Arrival, Contact, Project Hail Mary.. all of them were better, including Spielberg's previous attempts like E.T. and Close Encounters of 3rd Kind. This movie sort of had a flow like "Catch Me If you Can" his con man movie with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks, but wasn't nearly as good.

Street Fighter - 5/10. It's stupd. Sometimes it's a good stupid, and sometimes it's a bad stupid. There are quality scenes, and an interesting use of animation for flashbacks. But also really bad scenes and awful editing.

The actual fighting (and particularly the tournament) are kind of lacking though.

Better than previous attempts, but that bar is low.

That reminds me of the latest Mortal combat movie.

The previous one was fun even if cheesy but this last one just did not work much for me.

Good acting, Good cinematography, interesting characters.
It was a good watch but I have to say I was hoping for more. One of those movies you have high expectations going in but they never really live up to it. Still a good watch. Sadly I think the only recent movie that lived up to the hype for me was Project Hail Mary.

Was another movie a year or two back with the same name. This one is a creature feature the other was a killer stalking a girl.

This one has fun with things and does not try to take things to seriously. Rob Riggle always makes me laugh.

Within the last few years there have been a cluster of shark movies and Spider movies.

This is another spider movie. Not a spoiler as it says so in the description for the official trailers.

In the last couple of years off the top of my head. Sting, Spider Island, Cowbeb, Dont Move and another new one Crawlers.

The only one I really do not like at all was Spider Island. I also have yet to seen Crawlers as i think it comes out sometime this week.

But for the most part, whether they are great, to so so...for the most part I enjoy an ok Shark or Spider movie.
