Elite Squad, the Enemy Within

Beast levels..

Awesome! I completely forgot about that movie. It was on my watch list and I never ended up watching it. It looks amazing. Have you seen City of God?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0317248/?ref_=sr_1

It's another movie that takes place in Brazil, and is one of the best movies of all time.

edit: Wow, I re-watched the trailer for elite squad and just realized that it was the same writer from City of God. No wonder it was on my list. I have to watch this movie!

Trailers for those interested.

Battle Royale - 6.5/10

Hunger Games with real blood and without cake frosting camouflage techniques.

Iron Man 3

5 out of 10

Mandarin reveal sent the movie into a fugazy spin. There were other moments but that sealed it for me.

I've never seen Elite Squad but I know City of God is an awesome movie. A classic IMO.

Easily, it is ranked #21 on the IMDB top 250 of all time.

"Watership Down" - very moving and spiritual. The animation style is something I haven't seen before. Looks fantastic.

Fast & Furious 6 -7/10. About like the last one, a fairly enjoyable flick with a few laughs and some decent action, plenty of which is absurdly unrealistic.

GI Joe:Retaliation-3/10. Not even the Rock could save this movie. I hate it when sequels just arbitrarily kill off main characters from the previous movie (Duke, Ripcord & Scarlett).

Identity Thief-7/10. Melissa McCarthy is a rising star IMO. It doesn't get higher than a 7 because of Jason Bateman. He's got Keanu Reeves syndrome: He plays the same guy in every movie he's in.

You have reminded me I need to see "City of God"... I haven't seen the first Elite Squad, you don't necessarily need to, as far as watching the second. My friend liked both, but preferred the first one.

Jack Reacher -

7 out of 10.. Liked it alot, though it's not that complicated. it's fun...

Life of Pi -

7 out of 10 Visually, really good. Got to be in a particular mood to really enjoy it.

Thought the exact same thing... even the Rock couldn't save it..

The Croods. Funny. Jack Reacher. Iron Man 3 very entertaining not as good as 1 but enjoyed it.

The Awakening

7/10

Into the Darkness

6.5/10

Saw it last night.

I find myself having to review films differently lately.

Ok here goes.

While watching the film = 9 out of 10
Action packed, decent banter and wittiness keeps you glued to screen.

Day after viewing = 6 out of 10
The story was a take on Khan. It was ok. But that's it. Spock with all this emotion. Me no likey. Old Spock in film. No, no good. No more please.
