1. Dak is a very good QB.
2. One bad game against a top flight defense without his All Pro LT and his All Pro RB don't change that.
3. Even great QBs throw interceptions when their team is way behind and they are forced to make something happen. See: Tony Romo.
4. This team is very talented. But you can't lose half of your best players, at important positions, and expect the same results.
5. Just as in Tony Romo's era, this team is the victim of: 1. injuries 2. bad coaching 3. up and down defense. (And I'll add a fourth: some terrible reffing. I hate to go there, but it's been unreal and deserves a mention.)

Seeing all this Dak hate makes me sick. Dude has been fantastic and is all class, hard work, character and talent. Everyone ready to throw him under the bus because of one bad game is just asinine.

Dak has been missing throws every week. Now to me it’s on both him and the coaches. He can’t be a pocket passer. For some reason his mechanics are terrible on a 7 step drop.

When he’s on the move he’s much better. So yes the coaches need to put him on the move but an NFL QB should be hitting these throws he’s missing when they’re open.

agree with the Op and I'll throw in that some major distractions also occurred on a second year kid

Dak needs to improve his accuracy from the pocket. Not saying he sucks, but if he wants to be the future of the franchise, it's vital that he improves in that area. Improved arm strength would be nice as well
Agreed but why not call plays to his strength, for now, and work on the pocket presence gradually. This staff is setting him up for failure. Period. Play to his strenghts and coach his ability. It ain't that hard.

Dak Prescott will become Tony Romo 2.0 unless things change.

The fall guy for awful coaching and horrible defense.

We have a franchise QB. He missed on too many throws last night. We know that and he knows that. But a bad two game stretch in the second year of a passer's career is hardly career defining.

Take a deep breath, Cowboys fans. Dak Prescott is- and will be- just fine.
Please don’t compare this poor mans RG3 to a Cowboy Legend.

Dak is going to have ups and downs.....he was a 4th round pick for a reason. But this is the same guy as last year who, with a great OL and explosive RB, did...well...what you saw.

My point- I think Dez can go. I think Witten needs to retire. We need to spend more money on the front 7.

Those things will allow Dak, and any QB who would be willing to protect the ball like Dak usually does, be successful. It also keeps us from having to hang Drew Brees money on a guy who will never be that.

Dak isn’t the problem. I think Dez and Garrett are.

These knee jerk fans have presented no viable alternate solutions to their complaints!

Just for the sake of arguing, we watch the viable solution to the complaints every Sunday then read about them on Monday. Hasn't changed in 7 yrs

Agree. Romo threw 6 picks against the Bills and the Cowboys won the game after our kicker won the game in the last minute.
No he didnt throw 6 picks...it was 5:laugh:

But he did have some TD passes and ended up leading them on a big comeback with straight scoring drives and very ugly last second road win. Yes, big FG with no time left.
Man, that was weird game.

He has played so well that I think fans forget he is only a season and a half into his career. Hasn't even hit his prime yet, he seems to like to study film and try to improve

My bad I thought he threw 6. I think he said in the press conference he thought was six and appreciated his teammates picking up their play for his poor play. I am getting old and the first to go is your memory, lol.

Key word = WON

While throwing over 300 yds and 2 TD's (btw it was 5 int's)

Anyway, Dak had a very bad game, that doesn't mean he is a bad QB.
