1. Dak is a very good QB.
2. One bad game against a top flight defense without his All Pro LT and his All Pro RB don't change that.
3. Even great QBs throw interceptions when their team is way behind and they are forced to make something happen. See: Tony Romo.
4. This team is very talented. But you can't lose half of your best players, at important positions, and expect the same results.
5. Just as in Tony Romo's era, this team is the victim of: 1. injuries 2. bad coaching 3. up and down defense. (And I'll add a fourth: some terrible reffing. I hate to go there, but it's been unreal and deserves a mention.)

Seeing all this Dak hate makes me sick. Dude has been fantastic and is all class, hard work, character and talent. Everyone ready to throw him under the bus because of one bad game is just asinine.

I saw several plays that were penalties on the Eagles that weren't called. The most obvious of those was the missed PI call where Dez was almost thrown to the ground.. That one was bad enough for me to start wearing a tin foil hat...

Dak is fine. He can be an above average NFL QB for a long time. He is Alex Smith.

People had just hyped him up because of his passer rating. Fact is that when you have a dominant running game and don't have to fling the ball 50 times like Drew Brees, you won't have a ton of INTs and your passer rating will be good.

That being said, i don't think he's the guy that is capable of flinging the ball 50 times and winning you games. Nothing about his accuracy or pocket presence suggest that he will be.

I agree with you. I wrote yesterday that the main issue is coaching. This is a good team but without the right coaching we are suffering.

Will be very difficult to make the playoffs but Saints and Carolina should take care of Atlanta. GB doesn't look good right now. Seattle is hurting and still plays Rams. Only one is the Lions who I think still plays the Vikings. It's a long shot and we need help but it's not over yet.

We need to start winning games though and we need Lee to get healthy if we are too have a chance to over come coaching.

A rejuvenated Zeke and healthy Tyron and Lee will be hell in the playoffs.......if we can get in

What a nice change of pace this thread is. So tired of the “cut him, trade him, bench him, fire him crowd.”
I am waiting for a thread calling for a trade of Dak and Zeke for a 29 y/o LB or DT that would blow a hole in the cap, but might help for one season.

Dak needs to improve his accuracy from the pocket. Not saying he sucks, but if he wants to be the future of the franchise, it's vital that he improves in that area. Improved arm strength would be nice as well

Dak Prescott will become Tony Romo 2.0 unless things change.

The fall guy for awful coaching and horrible defense.

We have a franchise QB. He missed on too many throws last night. We know that and he knows that. But a bad two game stretch in the second year of a passer's career is hardly career defining.

Take a deep breath, Cowboys fans. Dak Prescott is- and will be- just fine.

Dak isn't a problem to the point where he needs to be gone. He definitely has not risen to the occasion, and his play is definitely a problem lately. He can bounce back. He's not a tumor that needs to be removed.

I start with coaching though. Second to this is WR play, but I think this again goes back to coaching and the white bread with water scheme.

All true, and add a defense that gives up 212 rushing yards last night.
