I had enough, which is my own opinion, of the past draft of 2009 vs whatever, living in the past crap. Enough DL / LB / Defense this and that talk. But I'm sure after saturday night, there will be an entirely new things to discuss on the same topics...LOL...but rightfully so, as after every game.

Anyway, there is a game Staurday night...what are you looking for and want to see.

Yes, starters and projected starters will yet again be missing.
Looking to see if the OL can look like they did against SD or better, and with Romo and his limited, scripted plays, Conservative plays I should say. I want to see how he moves in real time action.
I want to see Dunbar in this offense, and of course the young WR's.

On defense, just some consistency, even from the 3rd and 4th stringers, like the past week of practice shows they learned something. As they know more what to expect from actual game preparation, even though not game planned. I want to see a bit more of a pass rush, but it's not like they have to be world beaters. But just show something. I hope to see Wilcox get some extended playing time to see his progress.

Of course all this depends on who actually plays.

Better tackling.
Quicker recognition and better execution of the players assignments (on the defense in particular).
I know that will be difficult to determine, but you can see when a player is lost and I'd like to see less of that.
More push from anybody on the d-line.
Better use of technique by the rooks on the line also.

I'd like to see some interesting things on offense like formations and plays we aren't used to, but I seriously doubt they'll be unveiling things this early.

And no injuries!

There's simply no way for the D-line to to not continue to be an issue and perhaps the most important thing to watch, as desperate as we are for a pass rush and run stoppage. Bad D-line play was the root of our bad D last season -- not the only problem, just the root. They'll all be watched hard for any signs of diamonds in the rough. IMO we should even watch closely the Ravens' D-line because you never know who might end up waived and available to help us.

But you're right that those issues aren't the only important ones. I want to see if we can establish a running game and do good clock management. That's a sore spot where we screwed up last season, despite having a good O-line and a quality running back. Naturally, we want to see how Romo is playing after his surgery, and how Weeden does in relief. Don't forget special teams either. ST play can make the difference in a win or a loss. I want to see our returns set up smartly, giving our return man the chance to give us good field position.

Above all, on the D, I want to see this team actually make a STOP or two and not just have the other team march down the field at will.

The Ravens will be better this year on both sides of the ball, so this is great completion for preseason.

I just looking forward to seeing all of the guys who didn't play last week. ...or at least those that will play.
So e improvement from the dline would be nice.
And hopefully the 1st team offense can put together a drive.

Watch, our defense will prevent their first team offense from scoring and will play very well. This confuse the living heck out of this forum.

I would like to see more of the backup RB battle as well

I would be delighted to see both of those! A first-team defensive stop or even a takeaway would thrill me. One nice plus if the Chargers game was how well the O-line and Randle worked together to get rushing yards. I want the team to rush well all year, whether its with Murray, Randle, or someone else. We've got the line and the backs that can do it now. I want the coaches to actually USE that nice advantage and not be pass happy when we don't have to be. I'm not saying get a lead and then never pass. I'm saying don't be stupid about it like we often were last season.

I want to see Rolando McClain. I also want to see if anyone can create pressure on Flacco. I'm not really worried about anything else. Want everyone to stay healthy.
