I think Spears is probably done, but considering the injuries and inexperience in our secondary...
...if motivated I still think Huff could be a decent player.
Bryan Broaddus @BryanBroaddus42s
Both Huff and Spears are subjected to waiver claims despite being vested veterans. Would bet this team doesn't want to claim their contracts

One man's trash.....
Is Huff > McCray?
He won't play special teams so he wouldn't be replacing our best special teamer.

Ravens cut Michael Huff and Marcus Spears, promote safeties Omar Brown and Brynden Trawick
Marcus Spears had just 11 tackles and no sacks while also dealing with a knee injury, not the impact they'd hoped for when they signed him
Michael Huff had been benched as the starter and hadn't shown an enthusiasm or affinity for special teams

Source: #Cowboys personnel dept not recommending heavy pursuit of ex-Ravens Spears or Huff. @1053thefan
Mike Huff is a friend of mine, and I'm here to tell you, he has been overrated since his days at UT. He wasn't any good in high school, but his speed is what got him to where he is. He's never been physical or a great tackler. He's now 31 years old and his speed is no longer there. He's done IMO
