OMG - a Cowboys player may have a... ulp... character flaw!
Seriously, let the legal system run it's course and apply whatever penalty they deem necessary. (Like starving children everywhere are affected by a department store chain's loss of some cologne and underwear - which the loss is prolly factored into their pricing model anyhow.)
That penalty, if he is in fact convicted, combined with the shame that would reasonably follow him... should be punishment enough. He will be 'outed' to his teammates, the organization, the league, and the public in general.
Oh... and he can kiss 'goodbye' any future NFL 'Man of the Year' consideration.
