RB Ronald Jones Suspended first two games

Davis is the 2 anyway. Two games ain’t much but I had him penciled out of my 53.

RB1: Pollard
RB2: Davis
RB3: Vaughn

Dowdle has been valuable as a ST and has juice, he’s just rarely healthy. Is Luepke really competing with McKeon for FB vs TE4?

Jones to me only made the roster if A) he exhibited Tampa Bay RJ form or B) he could at least be a steady vet in the event that none of the younger guys could take the spot. With the suspension though, he seems like a prime PS candidate.

I hated the signing from day 1. Guy is a massive JAG. Maybe this is what was needed for the FO to finally take the RB position seriously. Outside Pollard, we have nothing. Yes, I'm excited for Deuce and absolutely rooting for the kid, but he has yet to even take 1 NFL carry.

I think that Davis and Deuce are solid.

For the record, I wanted a better backup RB before the news of this suspension. Jones wasn’t the answer regardless imo. And I haven’t inducted Deuce into the HOF yet like the many you are referencing that thought Jones would get cut. Honestly not sure how it could be possible to think that some combo of Deuce, Davis, Luepke, Dowdle will be fine in the event of another serious Pollard injury. Seems like a repeat of the mistake made with the WR position last year if you ask me

well I would prefer to see him play with cowboys before I judge his ability.
I think he can play in ps games so we may see him play.

I don't think Vaughn is the RB2, that's either Davis, or Dowdle. lets see what they got. before dipping into what's left in the market, I want to see those guys will flat out fail in PS. Davis as #2 might be fine. he has more speed and determination than Jones. for short yardage, lets see what Luepke can do.

In the 1st place, Jones is only suspended for 2 games, not a season. 2nd, Davis, Dowdle, Duece, and Luepke might show better than some think.
No need for panic, and certainly no need for Zeke.

Agree, but Luepke might be good for more than just short yardage.

Didn't say they only want 1 RB. Pollard ain't carrying the ball 20 times plus a handful of catches like Zeke used too. But RJ is limited to what he can do. RJ is an average runner who sucks in short yardage situations. Deuce will be a better weapon catching the ball so there's at least 2 roles RJ will sit on the bench for mostly. Is he worth taking to the game to get 3 carries while playing zero special teams? No he's not. So yes while pollard is healthy RJ can stay home and watch real players play. Deauche and maybe leupke can help split carries while also playing some ST.

He fits the front office mantra.

- Draft well
- Do not sign any free agent above vet minimum
- Only trade for vets near the end of their contract

If they bring in another vet, it’ll be a vet min JAG type. It won’t be a guy like Hunt or Fournette.

this chances are making the team just went from pretty decent too very unlikely... By the way I like all these stories he's a Dallas cowboy this is the second player over the offseason that has done something negative but they've never played the snap for the Cowboys yet they're being called Dallas Cowboys the dudes have never even made the roster yet they're always a number one stories or headlines it's Dallas cowboy or ex Dallas cowboy even though some of these players haven't played for the Dallas Cowboys in years they always start with X Dallas cowboy or former Dallas cowboy... Hate to break it to you he's never been a Dallas cowboy just because he's on a 90 player roster for the training camp doesn't mean he is gonna be a dallas cowboy.

yeah but this really hurts his chances of making the team it really does mean why even be on the team if you're not gonna be here the first two games? There are other veterans that fit that description lots of them out on the street right now that can be picked up before game one... How can you trust the guy what if he comes back off the PED thing and then it happens again before the end of the year I mean they test these guys I don't know how often but he's gonna be on people's radar now much like like Laell Collins the more you get red flag the more they test...
