RB situation

If I hear this one more time i'm going to puke.
We need a sledge hammer type of pounder.

I don't mean a big back, I mean a REALLY big back...the kind of back whose mama sings in the church choir and weighs 350/400 lbs and has giant.butt cheeks that stick out so far horizontally you could rest a TV tray on them while ur eatin' ur collards and pigs feet and watchin Good Times.

Talk about mud flaps my gal's gottem...FAT bottom...FAT bottim.... a RB with THAT kinda mama... the kind of running back who can get you 1 yard even if you put 12 men in the box.....but who'd have a heart attack if he ran 2 yards.

285 lbs AT LEAST kind of pounder....where the NFL makes an exception and let's him wear #50.

Now.....get to pukin'!!!

Lmbao. I have to admit that was comedic gold. But the Chiefs did not have this type of short yardage specialist last year. Neither did the Rams the year before. Only in Dallas is there the need to invent a position to reflect the love of mediocrity.

Why's that?
RB's who need to operate in open space to be effective and/or gimmick backs only work in certain situations and plays.
This is the NFL, at times you have to be able to run inside and pound the rock. You may not like it, but that doesn't change the reality.

Don’t think they’re going to bring anyone in. Appears the team is entering the season with what they have and see how it goes. If things don’t go well, they’ll give Ronald Jones a try when he’s done with his suspension.
I disagree. They sign players after cuts every single year. It may not be a RB but they will add some new faces before the season starts.
I think RJ is getting cut as soon as he's healthy, so they don't have to give him an injury settlement.

You might want to read my post again. I’m saying I don’t think they’ll sign another RB. I never said they wouldn’t sign another position. They may end up cutting Jones, but they may want to hang onto him as insurance.

DId the Chiefs or Rams have a mountain of a man at RB in their Super Bowl runs?

I think a spot comes down to Dowdle vs. Davis, and Dowdle is ahead for that.
Dowdle was ahead of Davis last year before he went on IR. Played the same amount of ST snaps.
They're competing for the ST/3rdRB role. Dowdle wins again.

If Jerry was really serious about winning a SB he would make an offer. But he will probably come out and say we like our guys while the Eagles will probably trade a 5th round pick for Taylor and everyones jaw will drop and this forum will be full of angry posters.
