Re-sign Rolando McClain

Backup =/= unproductive.

I just gave you his stats. "Difference maker" - what is that to you? Forcing a fumble at the end of a game? INT in clutch situations? Dude was solid before McClain returned, he was the highlight of the defense during the New Orleans game. He was also solid the final 4 weeks of the regular season as well.

Unless you know of a player that can come in and produce like him in FA, there is no reason we should rush to replace Hitchens.

EDIT: The more I look at Hitchens year, I actually think he's starting material.

He is probably the best at the MIKE position but he can play all 3 and is therefore very valuable and being on a rookie contract makes him gold.

No one is saying Hitchens isn't replaceable. There is a good chance we do go for a linebacker in the first round, if elite talent is there, you grab it.

But again, you said Hitchens wasn't productive. It was flat out wrong. You pretty much implied he's not even worth being a backup.

Sign McClain and give him some of that stuff Bradley Cooper was taking in the movie limitless.
