I just dont see how Jerry could justify this to the fans any more.

What makes you think Jerry cares? He doesn't have to justify any thing.
The Cowboys will sell out no matter what their record is and he knows it.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaa so ole' red isn't the genius some thought he was afterall huh? Well now, let's see if T.O. is to blame for all of this mess.

Owscum was dividing the team. JG is just a bad OC. One has nothing to do with the other. Besides owscum has already started his act in Buffalo.

What I want to know is why no one asks a guy like Crayton why this offense is such a chinese fire drill before the snap.

I've no doubt it'd be worse if he were still here.

We tried to make a run with Terrell Owens and it didn't happen. Owens was also an utter no-show in both playoff games he appeared in.

I'm glad he's gone.

Owens wears down as the season progresses and is useless in December/January.

As for our team, one of the big problems right now is time management.

We had to spike the ball on second and goal because we didn't have a timeout left.

That's one less chance to win the game and we didn't have it due to being unable to get lined up properly and snap the ball in the third quarter.

Are you kidding me?

And the final drive before the half?

I almost don't want to talk about it because it was so damn ugly.

I wacthed first and 10 with Jemelle hill and she's been spot on about Garrett from the jump. She said he's more worried about proving he's a genius, instead of putting romo in the best position. I'm just tired of the excuses. We had all offseason to get the problems and issues resolved, yet were hearing the same old tired nonsense.

its like he is always auditioning for the HC job.

Witten was wide open on first down. Second down was the spike.

On third down and fourth down, the only people running patterns were Hurd, Crayton and Austin.

Miles was open on both plays but obviously had lost Romo's confidence and was overlooked.

so you prefer watkins?

For special teams only. As Parcells said, Watkins is going to break his neck one of these days the way he tackles.

You don't have much time to get rid of the ball either, and Hurd looked like the first read on both plays. Hard to blame Romo for that, in my opinion. Probably should have thought about drawing up something up that didn't try for one-on-one coverage against Champ Bailey.

It might take a long while, but eventually people are going to get fed up with the mediocrity and stop coming to the games.

Glad I am not the only that though not even having Witten go out for a pass was crazy. I mean him and Romo kind of have a bit of a good relationship and they seem to trust one another.

But what do I know...

remember the playoff game against the giants? the last play of that game? deep pass by Romo to a double covered Terry Glenn....as witten stayed in blocking

It wont take that long. If we're 6-6 or something down the stretch, those last couple of games in the new stadium are gonna look awful empty, and both are gonna be on national TV.

these players don't respect him and his cocky "i'm a genius" attitude. not to mention he's a bum OC. this team is in shambles.

It could be worse.
JG could be fat and stupid like Wade.

Hey, I am gonna start calling the HC Wade "Teflon" Phillips.
To hear you guys, Wade is an innocent bystander. Well, he is a bystander, I'll give you that.

That's what I don't get about the complaints. When you run the ball and lose 2 or 3 yards on first-and-10, it's difficult to keep running it on second-and-12. There were a few times when you could say we should have run it on first-and-10 instead of passing it, but if you run it on EVERY first and 10, you become entirely too predictable.

So when the run isn't working, are we just supposed to keep running the ball on second-and-11, third-and-11, second-and-14, third-and-14, third-and-7, second-and-10, second-and-13, third-and-13, second-and-12 and third-and-17? Those are all situations we faced during the second half -- all within our first 25 plays before our final possession. Along with 10 first-and-10 plays, we were almost always in long-yardage situations throughout the second half.

I agree, although the ones we did try in the second half didn't work as well as the ones we ran in the first half.

Haven't read the entire thread but bet this doesn't get the response it deserves.

I've said this on numerous posts, but I'll say it again - how many times has Roy run a slant route. Unless I'm going crazy, he's run....................................ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, on that play, Romo threw it over Roy's head and it got taken bakc to the house (Giants game). When is Garrett going to listen to Roys in his interviews when he REPEATEDLY STATES "I'm a different WR than TO. I'm a possession WR". Yet, every time I see the 'Boys on offense, I see Williams running DEEP routes (12+ yards before he even makes his first break). Williams is built in the mold of Irvin, Cris Carter, Keyshawn, etc.................. Stop using him like T.O. 60% of all passes to Williams should be between 0-10 yards. Then, once he has caught like 3-4 of those routes, THEN you try to hit him over the top. That is how they started out the Tampa game. Williams first 2 catches went for 20 yards. They were working him close to the LOS. Then, when Tampa started coming up to the LOS to challenge him, he busts a post route right down the seam for 66. That's how it's done folks. Plus, trying to hit him IN HIS COMFORT ZONE would probably help him and Romo get in a better rhythm, just like he does with Witten every game.

You should post more often.

That is about the only thing that will get Jerry's attention. Until he feels it in his wallet he will never get the message.

I was so frustrated at that point in the game, I didn't notice that. 2 of our biggest guys and they aren't out running routes with the game on the line in the red zone? That is a head scratcher.

And yet according to numerous posts (I havent rewatched it and probably wont) Austin was wide open on both plays for an easy TD.

The QB never looked that way.

Most of Williams receptions this yr have been on short passes. They've tried to connect with him on some others and that didnt work either.

RW does run good slant routes, but so do Crayton and I've even seen Austin run good slants. The problem right now is the QB is missing those throws. And that goes back to last yr on those type routes.

Just caught another piece: Paraphrasing here, but Crayton said that the game was not Romo's fault and that he was tired of the game always being placed on Romo's shoulders to be the savior or the goat. He said the line was handling the defense in the run game and they should have leaned on them more in the second half.

ding, ding ding... I've said it before and I'll say it again... Garrett made his living off Romo, because he was keeping his crappy plays alive with his feet. Now that teams have pretty much made an effort to keep their DBs back, Romo can't find anybody open..
