were they or were they not a 1-15 last yr? They were BAD, hence it was easier for middle of the road to below average guys from other teams go there and start.

he tore his biceps here the yr before remember? he did nothing for us his last yr here...he didnt do much for them either...if our NT had produced all of 22 tackles and no sacks in 16 games, there'd be a CZ meltdown trying to replace him

I guess I give Sparano more credit than you do.

And I'm not so sure that Garrett 'redid the passing game' either. I still see the Cowboys running some of the same things they've run in the past (other than any creative plays).

I don't think that an offense's passing game is totally removed from its' running game, and vice versa.

Not if the run defense dramatically improved as a result.

A true nose tackle isn't about stats but occupying blockers.

Ratliff had a fine season but I don't see him as a true nose tackle.

I also think he'd be even better at 3-4 DE.

My hope is that they don't pay Canty's overpriced demands and move Ratliff to end and get a true nose tackle for this defense like the better versions have.
