Again you don't know that he needed an AFO in March. That is not a fact. You're adding dates out of your butt to his words again.

We can rejoin where you abandoned that argument last time if you like.

Oy.

We could if you debated in good faith, but you haven't here, so what's the point going forward?

At this point, let's hope Smith shows up in a few weeks, doesn't need any brace or support at all and we go from there.

Wasn't it just few weeks ago they were reporting his nerve stopped firing...now he is training in front of staff without brace? Someone is feeding us a pile.

Somebody reported his nerve *stopped* firing?

It was Ian Rapoport through a series of tweets on March 1st

"#Cowboys exec Stephen Jones was optimistic Jaylon Smith will be effective. Yet the nerve has seen “no significant change,” source said."

That is quite the accusation. Significant claims should require significant proof which you don't have. Let's review the argument:

What? Who is asking for him to make a definitive statement?

The point being that Smith is likely still using a brace in some capacity and when Jones made the comment he said, he truly didn't know if in the future (meaning August, the season, etc.) Smith would have to wear one. But at this point in time, they were comfortable with the idea that he could play with one if needed.

Secondhand or not, I suspect the Cowboys have a very good idea if Smith is still utilizing a brace, if that brace is only needed for certain workouts, etc. He's also monitored by doctors and they would also provide information to the Cowboys. So no, while Jones hasn't stood next to Smith and watched him workout, I suspect the front office has a very good idea of what, if any, limitations Smith still has, brace usage, etc.

Has he made progress? Absolutely. Can he line up in August for full contact practices without a brace? That's clearly unknown. And the fact Jones even mentioned that possibility in late March seems to indicate that at that time, Smith was still utilizing a brace in some capacity. The Cowboys would absolutely know in March if Smith was still using a brace full time, part time, etc.

And he doesn't start working out with the club until the future. You pulled August out of your ***. When does Jaylon return to the club again?

What you suspect is meaningless. Fact is you do not know. It is awfully convenient that all your speculation confirms your bias.

Not a single pic of him wearing the AFO this year. More than several of him without. That we do know.

August is the start of camp for most NFL teams. It's not some random date. It's the first time we will truly know if he can play football as we get to see him try to run around, make tackles, etc. with or without the brace.

I've never denied I don't know what's truly going on with Smith. I have no idea if he will play this year, two years from now, never, with a brace, without a brace, whatever.

But you don't know anything either despite you lecturing multiple posters on this topic. That's the point.

I know Jaylon has not been working out with the club because of the CBA.

I know that he is expected to participate in OTA's starting in May.

I know that there has not been one picture posted from this year that shows an AFO while there have been many that clearly show he is not wearing one.

I know that Stephen Jones still needs to see whether or not he needs an AFO to play football.

It's not hard to work from a factual basis. You should try it.

That is where it left off. Exactly what was I doing in bad faith? I can give examples of you arguing in bad faith. For example:

1) Failing to dispute facts I outline as the basis for my argument ignoring them, waiting for the page to roll over and then rejoining with the "I don't know anything, you don't know anything argument" is in bad faith.

2) Characterizing my arguments as lectures when I am clearly responding in a back and forth with you is in bad faith.

3) Ignoring rebuttals completely and waiting to repeat your rebutted assertion on another page is in bad faith.

I agree that I am condescending and dismissive in tone but I address what you say directly and honestly. You cannot say the same. You not having an adequate response is not my operating in bad faith but I can understand why you take issue with it.

Jones came out after that and contradicted it saying it has fired and is improving. It's posted earlier in this thread.

It was pointed out already in other threads where you have been disingenuous in your debate on this topic. So at this point, this discussion has run its course. Let's just hope Smith is completely healed and ready for the season.

I'll give you the opportunity to get the last word in because that's apparently quite important to you.

It was old report from Ian Rapoport reported in early march. Then Jaylon comes out few weeks later saying it regenerating. Then Stephan reports there has been no change to nerve in Smith leg. Matt Mosley reported in late march that he is not as optimistic as others because medical folks are being too quiet on issue. So at this point...I give up trying to figure this out and just waiting on OTA.

This whole topic makes my head spin. I feel like they're messing with us, and it makes it hard to decide whether I love Smith because of it, or hate him. I hated the pick at the time (just a stupid use of limited resources). Then his trolling fans on twitter cracked me up. Then his whole hari-krishna thing kind of put me off, now he's trolling me. I don't know what to think anymore.

I will say this, I think the team is acting like the cat that ate the canary on the whole Smith thing. I could be reading it 100% wrong, but that's how it feels. I just wish there was actual evidence to support my hunch.

Fuzzy will request that you waste your time. He'll want more details about why you think he is wrong. Then he'll make up some nonsensicle reason that the proof you provide does not matter.

I think his goal is just to see how much time people will waste replying to his posts.

Nonsense. I'm asking for any proof at all.

I would ask you for examples but we both know you care incapable of presenting them. Instead we will get this passive aggressive nonsense.

Similarly, you make up stories about me preferring random black actors to John Wayne or link Shakespeare study guides like you did when I asked you to prove that Marinelli said Mayowa was benched because of injury.

You, Cal, Syd, and Bob really like to talk about me though. You guys should start a fan club.

I'll bet Fuzzy is telling his wife right now that he has a fan club.

Fuzzy: See honey how these guys reply to my posts.

Fuzzy's Wife: They seem to be laughing at you.

Fuzzy: NO! They're laughing with me.

You're trying too hard. When the trolling is this blatantly shrill it smacks of desperation.

Subtlety. Try it.
