Well here I am at the
Déjà Vu cuisine restaurant, in the kitchen preparing left over crow stew. But I don't have to get served this mess, I could have crow Fillet Mignons, with baby peas and rice, or fried crow.
While I'm eating my crow, I'd like to formally say that in 2005, the Dallas Cowboys officially own the Eagles. Congratulations -- no excuses.
But I will say that we have only
one foot in the grave!
Thank you for "eating the crow" and having the class to be honest and avoid homer suicide. Fork them my friend, best case scenario now is let McNabb get healthy for next season because there is no way they run the tables.
I know it sucks @rse because we have experienced the same feeling for 6 or so seasons, so please forgive us if we go ape crap enjoying the "sweep" of the Eagles in 2005. The Eagles need to get healthy and learn how to consistently run the ball like last night. We were not expecting that from them and also came out flat ourselves as well.
However, the Eagles played well and looked to have won the game but just like at least 2 maybe 3 of our games, playing 60 minutes is essential. You can now bury the team in TO's casket (I'm kidding of course) for the 2005 campaign and look at how to rebuild or retool rather in free agaency and the draft. The Eagles have the Cash, Management team and core talent that with a strong offseason will probably be right back in the mix.
However, they will dominate the NFC East NO longer and hopefully we take the crown in 2005 but we have much work to do in 2005 to prove we deserve it accordingly. I am thrilled with our Dallas team (warts and all)
and think that we have a great chance in the NFC east if we play sound on both sides of the ball for 60 full minutes.
Thanks for the class post my friend and know we recently have experienced the pain you endure as we speak, the good news is that it lasts for awhile and then you start over again early next year.
