It's freaking Aaron Rodgers, he has been shredding defenses for years, doesn't excuse the refs. There is no shame in losing to players, but when the refs are impacting outcomes like this it is frustrating..

Somehow a bunch of other defenses stopped Aaron Rodgers this year. We couldn't. That's a "we" problem not a "oh gee, Rodgers is awesome" problem.

What makes it even more funny is illegal contact is suppose to be a point of emphasis.

There probably isn't a rule in the rule book that has such a wide disparity in terms of what gets called in game than illegal contact. You'll see a WR run 7 yards and get a small bump from a DB and it's flagged. Then you'll turn on another game and watch a CB rough up a WR for 10 yards and it goes uncalled.

You can't score points in the 4th quarter when the referee makes up holding calls after every big play or not call an obvious PI.

That was OT, not the 4th quarter. Had they even scored 3 in the 4th quarter, it wouldn't have gotten to OT.

We let Aaron Rodgers beat us with a bad thumb, and we're complaining about "bad" calls.
This was a statement game, and the statement is the Cowboys are still a mediocre team.
These are the teams you have to beat if you want to make noise in the playoffs, and we can't.

Not a peep when the refs failed to call Steele in the false start on CeeDee’s TD.

Not a peep when the refs took away two interceptions from Washington when we played them.

Which is crazy considering they said it was an emphasis this season

Jerry might want to think about wearing something different next Halloween.

My point doesn't matter, game was decided by referees.

And my original post was talking about it being a team loss, not just one aspect of the game. It made no reference to the refs so I don't know what your actual point is. The penalties/lack of you mentioned were in OT. I was criticizing the Offense's inability to score in the 4th quarter. That and the defense's inability to make stops when it's critical is what put the game in the hands of the refs in the first place.

thank refs for that mugging on Lamb not called but those 4 flags in OT went on us, i can handle ours but the blatant no call, a game changing OT mugging of lamb on 3rd down, hows that not called? No grey area, that's a blatant PI...you cannot ignore that in a critical situation.

you either eat the whistle or call them all , can't have it one sided!
NO, you can thank the lousy mediocre run defense and what has turned out to be the weakest secondary in the NFL for todays BEATDOWN! Also, Dak was doing Dak today in what was supposed to be a meaningful game after a fricking week off! But unfortunately for the Boys Prescot never shows up in meaningful games...............

The reality is that if you literally call any contact after 5 yards a penalty, defenses would never be able to stop anyone. WRs would just run free all day. Not sure how you can make the rule better but without "legal" contact beyond 5 yards, you might as well just blitz every play and hope you kill the QB before he gets a pass off. There is probably illegal contact on every single pass play.

This has been a rule forever, you jam within the 5 yards. If they allow contact especially like on that play, the wr will never make a Catch.
