And my original post was talking about it being a team loss, not just one aspect of the game. It made no reference to the refs so I don't know what your actual point is. The penalties/lack of you mentioned were in OT. I was criticizing the Offense's inability to score in the 4th quarter. That and the defense's inability to make stops when it's critical is what put the game in the hands of the refs in the first place.
Miss understood your post.

Some fans don’t understand this.

The team was up 14 points in the 4th Q against a 3-6 team that had lost 5 in a row and had mustered little to no offense for weeks. They blew it with the defense getting shredded by that bad offense and our offense being able to do literally nothing the entire 4th Q.

That's where the game was lost, not on a bad call in OT.

It's simple. If you are one of those fans that thinks we have a really good team, a team capable of making noise in the playoffs, then this team should have put away a bad GB team in the 4th Q. They didn't. And when the dust settled the problem wasn't that the ref screwed up a big call in OT. The big, most glaring problem is THE TEAM CHOKED AWAY A BIG LEAD to end up in OT where any one call or turnover would likely cost you the win.

The cowboys didn’t lose because of the refs. Bad calls or not they had a 14 point lead in the fourth quarter. They blew it. They gave up 200 rushing yards and allowed 174 yards in the 4 tj quarter alone. Defense was bad. Coaching decisions were bad. Dak had some bad throws. That’s why we lost.

the refs blow calls in games every week. The game should have never been in that position to start with. That’s the issue not the refs.

The cowboys did what they needed to win...

Not really. If they had, the game would've never even gone to OT.

This was an historic collapse by the Cowboys. They had never lost when leading by 14 in the 4th quarter. Offense and defense had multiple chances to put it away in the 4th quarter, and both failed each time.

When you blow a 14 point lead in the 4th Q against a bad team you open yourself up to a bad call costing you in OT. And that's exactly what happened.

The problem isn't the ref blowing that call. The problem that we should be focusing on is the fact our "elite" D got shredded in the 4th Q and the QB and the offense couldn't move the ball at all in the same quarter.
While I agree…this team isn’t good enough to overcome piss poor officiating.

I mean Packers season was on the line. They were desperate. Cowboys got a decent Packers team today. Not saying that’s an excuse to lose but this should’ve been a W. Piss poor officiating cost them.

thank refs for that mugging on Lamb not called but those 4 flags in OT went on us, i can handle ours but the blatant no call, a game changing OT mugging of lamb on 3rd down, hows that not called? No grey area, that's a blatant PI...you cannot ignore that in a critical situation.

you either eat the whistle or call them all , can't have it one sided!
It's called business as usual.

Expecting anything less is crazy thinking.

The game is scripted. We were literally marching down the field with ease until the refs step in and call a phantom hold, turning a 1st down into a 2nd and 19. Then we cut that 2nd and 19 to a 3rd and 4, but mysteriously the eagle-eye refs miss one of the most blatant holds you could ever see. This wasn't one of those difficult calls. This is one of the easiest holds you could ever make, but no call. It's clear the refs are in there to help shape games, just like when the Titans played Mahomes and the Titans get two penalties called on them back to back when Mahomes was trying to go for two. If anyone can't see this, they are choosing to be blind.

I agree. Blaming the refs is business as usual. It happens after every loss.

Do you agree that it was pass interference or do you not?

I understand that it should not have come down to that, but the reality is that games do come down to one call at times, and that was a bad missed call. Of course, I'm not convinced that we would have scored a TD, and if we only got a field goal, I'm not convinced we would have kept Rodgers from leading a TD drive. They essentially just stopped on that last drive to kick the FG because they didn't have to score a TD. Defense has to do a lot better than it did.

Cowboys got F"d in the A on the McGovern hold and the PI on the CeeDee Lamb mugging
A million times yes. I hate to say it, again and again and again, but this league is bought and paid for. JJ must have actually sold his soul to the devil in the 90s.... because the PI on CD and that 'hold' on McGzovern, on a part of the field inconsequential to the play... absolutely unjustifiable.

Hate the NFL has come to this. So obvious. So pathetic.

Not only that but the hold on McGovern when they've let Micah Parsons get strangled weekly.

It's a comedy at this point and I am just resigned to the fact nothing will ever change. This team is forever snakebit.

It was classic Cowboys crunch time offense with a holding call and a false start on the game ending drive. And its usually McGovern screwing up.

NO, you can thank the lousy mediocre run defense and what has turned out to be the weakest secondary in the NFL for todays BEATDOWN! Also, Dak was doing Dak today in what was supposed to be a meaningful game after a fricking week off! But unfortunately for the Boys Prescot never shows up in meaningful games...............
right Brown and Lewis out, hard to cover that up with Bland a rookie and KJ, they played opk but AR schooled them. Diggs pretty much held down his man Lazar most of the game but it happens.

Dak didnt show up? i guess that tipped pass on bad route on the 2nd int is his fault? right only to dak hater, that first one i agree, too much traffic dont throw it but he trusted his WRs and Schultz and lamb didnt separate, most likely Schultz was supposed to clear the zone behind lamb and instead stayed too close and HIS MAN came back and picked that ball off. right, thats on dak for trusting his wrs but not fully at fault. if thats what you see you weren't watching with unbiased EYE

Dak helped get this team a 14 point lead in the 4th between the refs and the defenses. we lost the game.. want to give Dak 20% of the blame, sure but signaling him out as NOT showing up is asinine.

Yeah this reminded me of one of those early 2010s games where the Cowboys were breaking some sort of record almost weekly in how they were blowing late leads...

I understand at time refs make bad call or miss call even sometimes decide to eat the whistle in OT or critical moments "lets them play" but when they call all of them, on us in OT then just flat out ignore a mugging on Lamb i mean its wasn't close flat out jumps on lambs back with ball in the air long before the ball arrived.. that raises serious questions

how do you miss that. how do you ignore it in the wide-open view of everyone? that was critical, you can not allow those to go uncalled.
