Regarding MB3 and JJ *MERGED*

Not to be a pain here.

But come on guys.

There are three or more threads on the main forum talking about MBIII and maybe he should be starter or so on...the general same feel of this thread.

Please post in one of those instead of starting another thread on the same topic.

BTW...Go Buckeyes.

Sorry guys. I don't agree. I always hear that JJ is a "threat" to break a long one and I agree but he just doesn't break them enough for me. Other than the "threat" he really doesn't bring anything else to the table that MB doesn't.

Unfortunately, Julius can't play the nickel back because he can't catch the ball worth frick. If you make MB3 the the base set back, he's going to play 60 snaps a game and Julius is useless. The situation they have now is probably the best way to divide snaps between them. I just want MB3 on the field when the game is on the line.

you said that pretty much perfectly...having julius on the bench is a waste of a roster spot. The guy is nearly a legit #1...certainly a high quality #2 to split carries with.

As for the bolded statement...
BP seems to agree with you. You are getting your wish.

Seems like everytime JJ gets the ball the defense knows it. There were 3 times today I counted a 9 man front when JJ got the ball. As a result he went nowhere. I'm still waiting for him to bust a 50 or 60 yarder like everyone else but I'm not sure our O-line is capable to providing the blocking for a long run like that.
