I think the NFL needs to fix their draft process in terms of salary anyway.

Nonsense like this proves my point.

For every clown like Bush who think he's "above the league", there's a capable NFL veteran (or two) getting shown the door over money.

The NBA has it right where rookies prove themselves before they get the huge payday.

The NFL needs to adopt the same strategy.

This is EXACTLY why the Texans didn't draft him. He would have wanted $60,000,000. My buddies on the Texans said that the reason they didn't draft him was 100% singability and a LARGE amount of A-Holeness.
This is exactly why the Texans will always suck, not drafting Bush because the A -Hole can't sing.:)

If this does happen (and I seriously doubt it will), how will the Saints be compensated?

They'll have their own pick in 07 and will recover their first from 06, but will they get more? It seems fair that they should, although they probably won't.

I don't think the Saints will be compensated at all.

Why would they get anything? Answer, they won't.

Tampa didn't get anything when Bo Jackson did the same thing.

Eventually Bush will sign and he will play. This is all a chess game.

All rookie salaries are way out of control. Guys who have not even taken a snap are getting paid like superstars. The league should have set up something up during the labor talks to have the first couple of rounds salary be predetermined based on the spot taken.

What a LOSER!! Hope this guy is a bust. I have added him to my list with ELI as biggest rookie Pansies.

Be grateful you can play a kids game for a living and make
RIDICULOUS amounts of money.

This type of greed makes me sick.

Try wearing a uniform of a local fire fighter or police officer making $30,000 a year or less as starting pay and REALLY make a difference in people's lives.

NO, let's hear you cry and whine about all of the millions instead.

BE GRATEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i hate reggie bush, i never really thought he was that great to begin with and i dont think hell be anything special in the NFL. Hes not a real running back, he did great in college cuz hes athletic and the pac 10 defenses suck. I belive that if he doesnt sign this year and tries to go in next years draft, it will be a HUGE mistake for him. In my opinion(even though im a longhorn) adrian peterson is a much MUCH better running back that bush is and will most defently go higher than a bush who hasnt played competetively for a year(i really hope petterson(sp?) declares early!!!)

Texans don't look quite so foolish anymore. The media is going to have bigtime egg on their faces if the kid turns out to be the punk he seems to be.

Then again we did sign T.O.

People yall can't get mad at him and call him names. Just imagine that was you. People it's just a business. He'll probably be a for sure 1st pick next year. But trust me Saints is going to give him what he wants cause they don't want to chance the risk of losing him and actually having a wasted draft pick. So my advice to Reggie Bush is go up on the price you have now. Go like 10 or 20 million up on the price you have. They have to sign you.

They can't trade him because he ain't sign with them. So it's either going to be a sign or bye-bye to Reggie Bush.

Reggie Bush is just a business man, he's trying to get paid and there is ways to getting paid.

They can trade his draft rights to another team.

Well trade em in to the Cowboys. We'll give them Julius Jones and Greg Ellis, and next year's 1st Round (32nd pick).
