Dolphins want a tight end 2/3/2010 7:47:02 AM

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that NFL people who spoke with the Dolphins at the Senior Bowl said they made clear they want to add a tight end with speed and receiving skills to beat defenses downfield. The Dolphins might keep likely restricted free agent Anthony Fasano but remain noncommittal. Fasano played 78.5 percent of Miami's offensive snaps, Joey Haynos 51.2.

How fast will a trade Bennett suggestion happen?

That regime could have Witten and Gates and they would still be looking for Tight Ends.

This. It's not that Fasano is bad, rather they just collect tight ends.

I like Fasano, maybe not as a tight end, but I heard him on Sirius earlier in the week talking about the Colts and Saints and I met him prior to the Commanders/Cowboys game in 2006. Nice guy.

25 minutes. It took 25 minutes for this suggestion to happen. I hid that question in the OP.

Great! Maybe he can have another perfectly thrown ball go through his hands and hit him square in the chest again in another NFC Divisional playoff game!

I remember griping.

I also remember what Dallas got in return for that trade and what they did with their 2nd round pick that year.

Never gonna like it.

Trade a 2nd round backup TE and then draft a 2nd round backup TE.

Nope, never gonna like it.

If the rumor is true, they were eyeing Greg Jennings and thought that they could get away with trading down four picks. Green Bay picked right before them.

Yeah but I think Bennett has more upside and potential than Fasano.... So in a way we kinda upgraded if Bennett eventually finds a way to become more mature instead of acting like a 5 year old trapped in a pro football player's body.
