wxcpo said:Does anyone believe it could be the Lions organization that is the problem here? I mean they drafted three consecutive 1st round WRs that were very highly rated coming out of college and none of them have lived up to their potential. Not only have they failed to live up to their playing potential, but two of the three (Rogers & Williams) have had off the field issues. What are the coaches and the organization doing to these guys? They certainly aren't developing these guys and turning them into the pro bowlers that they should have been given their draft positions (I know Williams is only a 2nd year guy).
I know players are ultimately responsible for their behavior, but somewhere along the line the organization and it's coaches must bear a portion of the blame.
I agree whole heartedly. Spot on. Detroit has to take some responsibility for this fiasco. I have a hard time believing a team could own the #3, 2, 7, and 10 picks in the first round and produce mostly busts.
Of course the fact that they have owned the #3, 2, 7, and 10 picks in the first round is a good indication that something is wrong within the organization.
