Remember when we wanted this guy?

Yes, however a guy who plays in 14 games gets more opportunities than a guy who only plays in 10 games. At best, it simply evens out. Had both played all 16 games, yes, you would have a legit point. However, they did not.

A third string WR gets more opportunities than a starter because he played in four more games? You said it, at best it evens out. But I can all but guarantee you Braylon Edwards had more opportunities. Seeing the field once or twice a series isn't that same as every down, no matter how many games you play in.

You read between the lines very well. Ask him to tell you about 30 yard slants which was a HUGE part of his rationale for Edwards over Williams. Most impressive education I ever got [/sarcasm off]

I'm all ears. :)

HH, it's quite obvious to me that the real point of your thread is to indirectly insinuate that Hos was wrong about Mike Williams. Right?

Come on now, be honest.

Actually, I did and do still feel that Edwards is the better WR, but got bashed for saying such last year. Just wanted to bring it up.

Proving Hos wrong was just a bonus

Quit.

Logic is overrated.

Hey, but FWIW, I agree.

Just me, but it's a little premature to be claiming victory in this debate after only a rookie season under each of their belts. And Edwards didn't exactly light the world on fire last year as a starter. Give it some time and then try and make your case.

How did you prove Hos wrong? Based off of one FLIPPIN' SEASON????

You haven't proven anything.

I take that back. You've proven to be dillusional. More dillusional than I thought.

LOL, now Williams somehow gets credit for being third string? That just means he couldn't beat out Scottie Vines or whatever no-name the Lions were starting. ;)

BTW, I'm not taking potshots at Hos or anyone else... I don't have a dog in this fight. :)

I don't think anyone is giving him credit. Like you, I don't have a dog in this fight and I don't even care for Williams all that much. But to sit around and say "yay me" because Braylon Edwards outperformed him is nothing but a self-serving exercise that is pretty transparent.

Braylon Edwards - 59 times thrown at

Mike Williams - 57 times thrown at

I don't care either way. Just stirring the pot. :)

I remember.

I got in many debates about why I did NOT want him.

Man, I hate always being right.

Hos, you know, I wouldn't have needled ya, if I knew I was in company of so many draft experts ready to proclaim their expertise :D

I rest my case after this witness' testimony.
