The D is close. I still think the 34 D is the best route. A lot easier to find 34 OLB’s than quality DE’s. We already have the best one out there.

Plenty of teams win with a average defense.

Points win you the SB, everything else is a non factor.

my point was, points win games. so, just for a recap, they go by the end score, whoever has more points wins the game.

Defense keeps you in the game. Look no further than last weeks Ravens game. Lamar didn’t come out guns blazing. He put up 10 points in the first half. But, the defense gave up a FG. That gave Lamar time to figure it out and he blasted the Texans in the second half. Maybe Dak never figures out the packers D but giving up 41 points gives the team no real chance to win.

The measure of a defense is what they do against the good teams.

Against Miami the D couldn’t close the deal . Against the Lions again with a lead couldn’t find a way to get off the field . Against GB the art gallery was smashed to pieces . I don’t know .

Now against GB the defense was wretched worst I’ve seen but the score was 27 - 0 . Not exactly a pin ball machine offense . And the Lions & Miami game didn’t light up the scoreboard either . Both sides of the ball have problems . And let’s not forget ST falling for fake punts like they’ve never seen one .

yeah, that awesome GB defense was ranked around 25th. Nobody could score on that defense. I blame Jerry....discussion is over.

trends change the game, not defenses, people say that like relators say "the school district is great here" or "45 minutes from teh city" means nothing. you are selling a slogan.

points wins games, they care very little how you do it, just get it done.
