This thread reminds me of Extremeskins.com.

That group could have the entire team come down with the flu and the franchise substitutes cheerleaders and members of the marching band and somehow those fans there would figure out a way for each position to be the best in the East.

One has to wonder what the tread would be like if Romo went down for the season last weekend. Think he would have been a progress stopper, or there was a silver lining in his injury?

You're not answering the question. You mentioned built up credibility so if it wasn't the like totals you were referring to then what was it? :D

Credibility comes from posters that occasionally make informational posts, not just off the cuff opinions.

Just one year it would be nice to not have to have someone 'step up' at a critical position.

Actually I have always thought this step up is all BS. There is a reason you are a backup 95% of the time. It is because the starter is clearly a better player.

Don't cry like it happens every year at a critical position. Lee has had injuries and it has been a problem at the mike yes. But we ran pretty good last year and our RBs and WRs and offensive line didn't need subs to step up. QB for 1 game. The defense had multiple people out. That's what happens some years in the N.F.L.

Credibility comes from being truthful and owning up to your comments. Anyone who followed the discussion we had a couple of weeks ago that included your buddy and fellow likes collector Risen Star knows what you were referring to. Let me get this straight you're saying I don't make occasional informative posts? What do you consider an informative post those that scream FAN and contain nothing but fantasy and optimism?

Credibility has nothing to do with how many FANS like what you have to say it's knowing your team and being right. Credibility comes from those who do research and whose opinions are supported by facts. The archives of every members history on this board points out who's credible.

I like the OP's enthusiasm but the loss of Sean Lee is still devastating to an already bad defense.

I don't know if you realize this but the Cowboys defense has been bad for a while, with & without Sean Lee.

Nobody cares what you did in the past, if you did indeed do anything. If it wasn't in the past few months, nobody cares.

Do you really believe that Risen Star is my buddy?

Nobody cares that you think ones like total equals credibility. Wish they had a search function so I could check to see how many others you've slammed over their like totals compared to you and your buddy Risen Star. I don't understand why you're even wasting posts in this discussion doubt it's helping you meet your like goals for the weekend. Gosh knows you don't want to slip a position on the all mighty credibility list that I'm sure you keep close tabs on. LOL

I thought this thread was about Sean Lee?

Anyway, I mentioned it before and I'll mention it again: The Mike just needs to be a sure tackler and know his assignments in coverage. Carter is the guy that needs to stay healthy and shine this season.

There's a first time for everybody.

I hope this is the season I am finally wrong. If the Cowboys get over the 8-8 hump and make the playoffs there's going to be many who are wrong.

Still -- and I really believe this -- Lee was not and won't be the savior for this defense. He's not like a HOFer who went down.
He might well be one of the most overhyped Cowboys (Bill Bates comes to mind) ever.

Let us get over him. He showed flashes of being good but we will never know because of his constant trips to rehab and to the trainer's room.
All these lamentations for him are ridiculous.

Bill Bates was overhyped? Did that thought enter your mind before or after your head injury?

Due to contract constraints, Lee will be with the team next year. He should be as well.

Who here knows for a fact these were not a series of fluke injuries? It would appear not, but truthfully no one knows for sure.

So the team will continue to hold his spot until it is financially feasible to set him free, or he lives up to his astounding talent.

I see no reason to get emotional about this. he is a great loss for this defense. Not so much that he would be the difference in this defense being top ten and maybe even top twenty. But there will be games this year that are lost because he was not on the field.

Yet so many are ready to dismiss him. That is foolish in my mind simply because of the money hit the team will take. But also the fact that no one here knows for certain that he cannot be productive at some point.

This is a situation where Dallas has to ride this out until it resolves itself. One way or the other.
