Good. Don't need to waste talent with this stupid 2 deep defense. We need front 7 help.

This reads like the writer is trying to rile up Cowboy fans.

They wouldn't do it if it didn't work. Every. Time.

Remember, the NFL has now admitted that they ruled Dez Bryant's no-catch wrong back in 2015 according to some headlines gobbled up so easily around here. LOL. Emotion's a helluva drug.

I don't disagree that Jerry want's to win real bad. However, I question his motive for wanting to win real bad. I think he want's to win real bad to prove that he did not need Jimmy Johnson to win a Super Bowl. If he wanted to win real bad, wouldn't he do what was necessary to win? Jerry has even said that he would have fired the GM by now.

He wants to win with him in charge and getting the credit.

Come on. If winning was his top priority he'd have a top level coach. He saw first hand what can happen when you have a strong coach like Jimmy or Bill and stay out of their way, but that wasn't "fun" for him, because he couldn't have his hands all over the team and THAT is his top priority. Him having fun is P1.

Not thats the part where he simply doesnt get it. He either thinks that Garrett is good or he doesnt value coaching. Its not a lack of desire, its just that he is too pig headed or blind to figure it out.

I think he HOPES he can win with this adopted son, but he'd rather be 8-8 forever then be uncomfortable as Bill and Jimmy made him. He probably hangs his hat on that ring they win with Switzer, even though they won in spite of him not because of him, with Jimmy's loaded veteran team.

Lord, please don't make me wake up tomorrow to news that say, for example, the Commanders
have traded Su'a Cravens (sp?) and a 4th to Seattle for Earl Thomas.

Curious if you had your choice which of the following would you prefer ?

Earl Thomas
Tyrann Mathieu
Derwin James

I think with me personally I would almost rather have James because for 4 years plus a 5th Year Option
your not paying the guy 12 Million a year like Thomas and Mathieu might get. Lets not forget Vaccaro.

James but James costs multiple picks, will take some time to develop, and if we are just going to skip Free Agency then I don't want to use all of our premium picks on 1 guy in the draft.

If only it were that simple...

I’d rather have James too but then you’re left without your first round pick and are still desperate for LB, WR, LG.

Just as silly as not using FA/trades to build your team.....hmmmm.

Not silly at all. Stephen does not believe in the first week of FA. He & McClay will be looking for a couple of bargains next week when
prices come down. This is called frugality and common sense management. Shinny new toys that cost a boatload of money and rarely
work out better than a draft pick seems like the way to go for me. I would not give up draft picks or big contracts to those two safeties.
Jerry would probably unload his bank account for one of these guys but, Stephen will not.

Every other NFC team is making moves to improve...

We are betting on our 1st and 2nd round pick to help boost us up to contend with the defending super bowl champion in our own division with a second wind Giants team and a new skins team that is always a thorn. Oh yeah not to mention the vikings, saints, rams, panthers, falcons, and packers are really good teams that have added talent!

and they are failing at that. i would rather take all the money your are going to pay the Carroll's/Paea's/Thorntons of the world and sign a Josh Stitton to soldify the OL.

We need to eventually resign Martin and Lawrence. DAK could be deserving of a big contract in the near future. Irving could be in the same boat.

The sky is not on fire. We have done a very good job drafting the past couple years. We have 10 picks right now.
I agree. 10 picks. You can address a lot with those picks. Why spend bookoo money on a safety when you have AllPro players that need to get paid.

You could turn the coin over and look at all the millions the Giants paid out to overrated players last season and now they are at the bottom of the barrel. Stephen and McClay will find some bargains and not break the bank to do it. There are several guards in the draft that I feel could come in and start first season. Be patient and see what comes.

No Safety, here or there, is gonna erase 20+ years of bad GM’ing.
