Not thread related here but Forrest Whitaker syndrome is what happens when you mix NyQuil and DayQuil... lol

Yeah, but his face looks totally different when he sees the other lead character in "The Crying Game".

Saw that coming. Considering the emphasis on safety and the fact the draft is in Dallas. I smell a trade up for Derwin coming. Imagine if we didn't win a meaningless game in Philly? We could have actually just had James and not had to give up anything. But hey. Moral victories right?
this is always the case. meaningless game won by red to make him look good pushes us out for the guy we need. this team is just great!

What this team needs most is a football guy who knows how to make football decisions.
Staying away from dropping valuable resources on a soon to be 29 year old safety, is a good football decision. A great one, in fact!

You could turn the coin over and look at all the millions the Giants paid out to overrated players last season and now they are at the bottom of the barrel. Stephen and McClay will find some bargains and not break the bank to do it. There are several guards in the draft that I feel could come in and start first season. Be patient and see what comes.
i'm 48 years old and have been a cowboy fan since i was 7....sadly my patience has run out with these knuckleheads and their process.

So what is the excuse for the 25 year old?

dont fret guys, other teams are stupid, they like ball hawking safeties, but we ll show them. 20 plus years of not being competitive is going to show them.

Anyone grumbling about the Cowboys being "out" on either of these two safeties given the asking price, step up now.

Call your shot.

Tell us that you think it's a wise decision to trade a 1st round pick for Earl Thomas. And then pay him $13 million a year.

Or how it's a good idea to pay $12 million for Tyrann Matthieu.

This is once again something that the team should be getting credit for not doing, but instead it looks like yet another poor opportunity attempted by people to bash the Jones boys.

And hey, there's plenty of legitimate criticisms to make.

But this ain't it!

Cowboys are out on all of them because the cost is so high, heck even Whitehead is visiting the Raiders.

I appreciate your concerns and frustrations with the Cowboys in the last 23 years. I'm somewhat older and started watching them the first year in 1960 along with the Dallas Texans. I've gone through loads of ups and downs and I understand that in this era of the salary cap it is
luck, great coaching and a top shelf QB that gets two teams to the SB. We seem to be lacking on at least two of those requirements.

No way on a 1st for Thomas. If/when he is traded its more like a 3rd and a conditional pick the following year.

Matthieu at 12MM is too high but he will probably end up getting something like 9 or 10MM per year.

The asterisk on both of those is that the signings so far this year have been coocoo for cocoapuffs who knows where the dust settles.

Jerry would never touch a player that took a knee, except.... you know... for the time Jerry took a knee with the entire team. Silliness.

Yeah don't get it twisted, this happened before the national anthem not DURING and that makes a huge difference.
All of those players who kneeled during the national anthem can go to hell, stay the feck off the Cowboys.
We're a Texas team we're not based out of Social justiceville Seattle or Crappy California, we have pride in our Nation and state.
