Hilarious if you think JJ has a plan to replace Dak for future glory days.
No JJ has no plans but unlike you I don’t believe Dak is the answer and unfortunately JJ like you will take the easy route and resign Dak because he like you doesn’t really care about SBs it’s regular season wins and playoff failures that keep the Cowboys relevant and that’s the main priority with JJ

I prefer 12-5 unlike you who prefers 5-12. I prefer making it to the playoffs unlike you who wants be eliminated from them in week 10.

I’d agree with some as in the bigger scope of things our frustration didn’t begin with Dak and most likely won’t end with him. My hope was put on hold at least couple decades ago.

And while it continues today to be very frustrating there is some salvation from watching Jethro’s frustrations and ridicule as well.
Agreed I just watch the games and don’t expect much post season the we like are guys is getting really old

5-12 is fine heck 2-15 is fine better than watching embarrassing playoff games heck you most likely tell folks how you saw the greatest Playoff game embarrassment in the Cowboys history and how you enjoyed it and what a great 12-5 season they had. Sick sad way to think.

You Dak lovers are used to being laughed at and mocked as your boy continues to verify his C-Grade Talent level laying eggs against good teams esp in the playoffs.
Don't you worry about me as I will be done supporting this team and have no plans to waste another 3-5 years being here posting the same old Dak fails while you Dak Zombies sell crazy.
I wonder how you feel supporting 1 player over the well-being of the entire team?
GL with that..........weird but GL.
Many of us here can only hope you will be done but I am not holding my breath.

I still think a deal gets done before training camp.

Lawrence was the key contract for the negotiation, it pretty much set what the market rate is considering that there literally is not any statistical categories in which Lawrence is superior to Dak. Be it yards, TD passes, completion percentage, QBR, playoff wins, ect...

If Lawrence is worth $55 million a year then there is literally no debate at all that Dak's value is not at least the same. Nobody, including the Cowboys, can make any argument whatsoever that Lawrence is worth $55 million based on his on the field performance and Dak is not. The stats do not lie, and even if you want to include playoff games, Lawrence has just one career win and he threw 4 picks in that win, so again, no argument can be made that Lawrence is worth $55 but Dak is not and the Cowboys know this as well.
Lawrence is in year 4. Dak is in year 9. Big, BIG detail left out.

And LITTERALLY there is a debate, because Dak is old, and Lawrence has far more upside left. Dak isn't worth that and it would be foolish to pay him because he isn't ever going to get you anywhere.

I don't know about that. I'd much rather go 12-5 then 2-15....I know people think "Oh well we will get good picks...."...last time we got a top 5 pick we took a running back.

Neither are worth it. Just because somebody paid over blue book for a Ford Escort doesn't mean you need to as well.

Yeah this doesn't make sense to me.

First off, 30 at QB isn't old.
Second, its year 4 for Lawrence...and we are still holding on to "potential" and "upside"? How many years do we need to see this is what he is?

Even in Dak's case.....when people talk about what he is or isn't....he's shown you what he is in year 8. He's shown you he's coming off a All Pro season and a first round exit.
Lawrence can't even show you that.

But I know I know...he has long blonde hair and he can throw a pretty spiral and he's 6'6.

Yes but if everyone keeps paying that price then that makes that the value of said car. Between Lawrence and Goff it has been shown what the value of a top 11-20 QB is so of course a top 10 QB is going to be worth more than that.

I think the first issue is thinking Lawrence or Dak are equivalent to a Ford Escort. If the world determines a Ford Escort is worth 50k a year...then its worth 50k a year. That's what the value is. The value isn't determined by how good you think the car is.

At the end of the day the QB is the most important position on the field so you have to pay for it. You either settle for the Baker Mayfields or you tie up the Trevor Lawrence's.....some don't get it. Some don't understand it. But what people should understand in 2024 is that you can't escape the going rate for free agents. You can hate it....but you can't escape it.

Basically. If people are paying 50k for a Ford Escort...does that not mean the value of a Ford Escort is 50k lol? Like you said, value isn't determined by what we want it to be lol.
