How do you know that? I thought Ramsey would be the pick at the time but I haven't heard where Dallas rated him.

They have mentioned it on the podcasts, that the Cowboys basically had Zeke and Ramsey as 1, 1a. Not sure if that's a fact or speculation on their part, but they are part of the organization.

I'd have said this about anyone. It wasn't great to hear. And the tidbit from a notorious Buckeye homer who says Zeke loves football but also loves being loved for football isn't great to hear.

Should I saw it's awesome that Zeke likes being a celebrity? Just to appease random posters who can do nothing but misstate my opinion on Zeke's talent?

People who don't realize you can love Zeke the talent and not love Zeke as the number 4 overall pick?

I would be a million likes that if Jalen Ramsey showed up to Cowboys camp overweight you would not have posted this article had we drafted him.

And yes I would have rather taken a DE or CB at 4. Those are harder positions to fill. They are more expensive in free agency. And great ones are not as routinely found in the latter rounds.

I understand your argument, I just disagree completely....I think a top 5 RB can be as impactful as a top 5 DE or DB....watch Fournette and McCaffrey go top10 next year.....like cash said, a back like EE makes this offense work at its best, guys like Morris and McFadden just aren't the same.....it is like saying that guys like Mincey and Selvie were good enough because they got 6-8 sacks for 1m....but a guy like DWare that gets 16+ sacks is so much more impactful even though he costs 10x more...you try to get elite players in the top 5 no matter the position......everyone said you don't waste a mid 1st on an OG but Martin has been a great pick...

I saw articles like that but didn't consider them definitive. Its probably true though and if Ramsey was 1a to Zeke's #1, they still made the right pick.

Sorry, wasn't following along all that carefully. Who knows? They certainly liked Zeke a lot. He looked fantastic, so he's going to hit on the pick. All the talk of position groups aside, most important thing is to hit on the picks. I didn't like taking an OG at 11 or whatever, either, with the Martin pick, but as long as you hit, it matters a lot less. Zeke certainly was the safest of all the picks that went in the top 5, anyway. Maybe for that reason alone I ought to change my opinion a little bit.

Is this what we have to look forward to now? Dallas Takes zeke at 4 so they have to tear him down for attention because the crap other players do on every other team doesn't draw enough interest.

This is so tiring and takes the joy out of a lot of this for me. Everytime I tune into see highlights or something on nfl network or espn this means there will be a scroll at the bottom with something about him and the cowboys.

Geez a falcons player raped two women and they cut him and nobody even talked about it. Zeke went to a weed store and he is now a threat to society? This sucks.

Also I generally agree with taking RBs later in the draft but in terms of Zeke vrs Ramsey, I think if you are choosing between a skill position and a safety, you have to take the skill position.
