Report: Elliott reported to camp overweight

Yeah, and last night he put all that weight right in Kam's chest at about 4.4 speed.

Where exactly did I claim Zeke wouldn't be excellent in this offense?

I have said the exact opposite before, now and will in the future.

I am of the belief that RBs are the most injured, have the shortest shelf life and almost never deserve a 2nd contract. That's why I didn't want Zeke. You will NEVER find me having said he won't be good. In fact if my argument is that we could have a great rushing attack with most any NFL running back...why then would you stupidly assume I think Zeke would struggle?

What you are saying makes you sound like a crazy person. It makes you sound like someone who doesn't understand the game of football. It makes you sound like someone who has no problem being the emperor with no cloths of the zone.

Stand by my feelings? How about you get a clue and use reason more and your 'feelings' less.

If it was a different poster then maybe you wouldn't have this reaction. You come in saying it "doesn't look good" but the flip side is, it isn't a cause for concern. 21 year old gaining 6 pounds and losing it in what a week? Try talking positives instead of hopping onto the negative.

I'd have said this about anyone. It wasn't great to hear. And the tidbit from a notorious Buckeye homer who says Zeke loves football but also loves being loved for football isn't great to hear.

Should I saw it's awesome that Zeke likes being a celebrity? Just to appease random posters who can do nothing but misstate my opinion on Zeke's talent?

People who don't realize you can love Zeke the talent and not love Zeke as the number 4 overall pick?

That's your opinion. To break it to you not everyone is made out of the same loin cloth as Jason Witten and Sean Lee. Real life, kids are into themselves in every sport. We've had many players on this team even before Zeke and Bryant came around. Many hall of famers and great careers.

I have said repeatedly I think Zeke will be very good here.

I have also said repeatedly we didn't need to spend a 4th on a running back to have an elite rushing attack.
Idk what/where you've said about Zeke before, but this is spot on.

That little pudgkin sure scampered around the right side for a nice gain. Danged if I don't love me some fat fast RBs. Reminds me of Bettis and Okoye.

I don't disagree. Still...not great to hear. That was it. The summation of my comments.

Also I wouldn't necessarily group Zeke and Dez. Dez has always taken care of his body. I hope Zeke is the same.

You had to get a like just for the use of the word pudgkin. Made me lol.

you were right the first time...it is a complete cop out.....he 'hates' the pick but knows Elliott can be a huge difference maker....he just didn't want to spend the 4th to get him...well that was what it cost, too bad.......were Ramsay or Bosa worth the 4th but not Elliott.....it all because his pet cat didn't get picked or that we didn't take a terrible trade back

Dez was out of shape last year. May not have been over weight but he has had seasons and occurrences of being out of shape.

Dez and Zeke grouping was because they both being loved for football and not your A+ Citizens.

People love to break down into camps of either 'for' or 'against.' I'm in the same boat with you: I like Zeke a lot for what he does on the field. I think he's going to be a hell of a player in a hell of a good position. I also think he was an expensive luxury we couldn't really afford.

But the cost is sunk, so I'm going to enjoy the ride. He's going to be a fan favorite for a long time.

All I know is that Zeke had me jumping up off the couch and yelling last night. He played with an attitude that has been missing in Dallas for a long time. I'm glad we drafted him. I'm ready for a new era.

Sadly they've made searching posting history entirely too difficult around here, because I would have no problem digging back and parading the hilariousness of his past posts here for everyone to see.

Sounds like this man has had his fill of Jason Witten.

Who would you have picked at #4? Who, to you, was a better option at that selection given a) the available talent and b) the landscape of our roster as constructed prior to the start of the draft?

This is the question that none of you Zeke haters will ever answer with a convincing argument. Because he was literally the best player available at that selection.

edit: @Toruk_Makto would love to hear your cockamamy answer to this too.

Gems like this, lol.

Go grab an Arian Foster or Thomas Rawls in UDFA then.

Or heck a Bell or McCoy in the 2nd.

Just grab the next Arian Foster as a UDFA :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
