Two wrongs don't make it right.
Nice cliche but I never said anything was right or wrong. I just said/implied to wait for whole story.

There may not be a person or group identified as the culprit, but there's no need to wait to discuss it. 300 lives were lost tragically and for no reason than someone's sickness. I'm not sure why one should wait to sympathize and discuss the circumstances.
the usual result from someone that wants to appear the rational one; I usually consider them the timid ones who will not make a sound until they have to.
I disagree.. We can absolutely lay blame, because someone over there did it. That plane was shot down in a war zone. Now the culprits or whoever can point fingers all they want at each other, but it was clear that that wasn't an accident. To suggest that it might be is just not feasible. There's no need to wait. But you go right ahead and wait for someone to say who did it or "the whole story" as you say. I don't care who did it. I care that it was done. And I bet the families of those lost feel the same way.i'm NOT saying to not discuss it, far from it. i'm saying laying blame or demanding action against "whoever" is premature at this point. to say "how dare a country do this" well, we did it. it wasn't on purpose and we identified some mistakes that led to our doing it. i'm saying lets get all the info before we charge into war.

ok, so who are you going to blame? Ukraine? Russia? Pro-Russia militants? was it an accident when we did it? i sure as hell hope so.
don't get me wrong. i *do* want justice for what has happened. but at who right now? do we know who did it? who do we demand justice from? i want the people who did it strung up in the world court and made to pay for their mistake, or intentional behavior. but right now, tell me, who would that be?
Saw on reddit a lady lost her brother and sister-in-law on MH370, and has now lost her husband and step-daughter on this plane.
*I* can blame the entire region, because it's a war zone. I can start with Putin, because he instituted an aggressive action that started the whole process. As I said, it's not important to me to lay blame on a specific entity. That info WILL come out. But really, up til you pointed it out, no one really had laid blame, other than specific tweets and various reports.
Folks on here were lamenting the fact that someone shot down a civilian plane and 300 lives were lost and that's just tragic. I don't care about the whole story right now. I'm simply appalled about the circumstances of the event. And I think most people posting here have similar feelings.
If you want to wait til the investigation is complete in a few months or however long it takes to point a finger, go right ahead, tho. You should absolutely do what you feel is right for YOU.
sounds like i need to bow out cause people are mistaking my wanting to ensure we get the right people as a lack of caring of what happened and that is simply NOT the case.

The majority of passengers were Dutch...
I don't think you don't care. I absolutely get that you're conveying that you DO care.
I think it's annoying to suggest for people on how they should react to a breaking story like this. This is not going to be a 3-day investigation. And so the news will evolve with each story and people will react accordingly. What I personally feel is that this was no accident and I believe either the Russians or the separatists were involved.
But until we know for sure, I'm just going to update folks with info as it comes out and react to any that's posted, like most people. But you can wait and withhold your opinion and whatever else, because it works for you. That's jmo.
all i've said is that we did it ourselves and never admitted it. i then got the "2 wrongs don't make it right" response of which, yes i was a bit flippant in saying before we hang someone, let's be sure we got the right person. it was never my intention to tell people how to feel. i also said i wasn't here to tell people what is right or wrong, just get the right guy.
that made me the bad guy so i'll just depart from the convo for now.
