The problem is, with Pacman Jones all but declaring his love for the Cowboys and various sources confirming there is interest on the part of the Cowboys the team loses some of its leverage. But sources said the Cowboys are not prepared to give up anything higher than a fourth round draft pick, and that may be too high of a price.

Good.

And I see that Mac put Bobby back at outside LB.

Comical everyone bases ints on success. Tsk tsk. =)

Howdy Fuzz. Good to sees ya.

Trufant had more ints that Newman last year. That makes him better? HA!

I gotta say that again. ...... HA !!

Shhhhhhh...

INTs are teh onlyz way to valyuate CBs!!!!

Maybe everyone will start actually thinkin that, and we can get TNew signed for cheaper than $50-$80 million.

i think sooner or later pacman will become the #2 cb on this team.

ESPN had a dude from SI.com on first and ten this morning. His opinion was if the Boys sign Pac, they will trade up for DMC:D You should be Pac's #1 fan if this is true.

Ints mean very little as regards how good a CB is. Usually they have to gamble several times for each pick they get and that means the WR gets free plays. Against the better QBs and WRs they get toasted. Deion got very few despite the fact that often late in games he was roaming. TNew has hands of stone or he would have had at least twice as many INTs as he does have and we all know he is NOT a gambler.

Yet I am still crazy for thinking that...

No but one that was fifth in YPA and second in success percentage in 2006 certainly is.

And yet, in 2006 with PacMan, Tennessee ranked dead last in total defense in the NFL... last year without him, they jumped all the way up to 5th...

Looks like a classic case of addition by subtraction to me...

Sup mang. Some people are going to hate however they can.

That's OK, we always have you to stand up and champion the causes of such poor downtrodden victims as PacMan and Michael Vick...

Vick's got a new date for his trial in Virginia, don't look for him to be coming back any time soon...

At first, Gerald Poindexter tried to shield Vick from trouble, now it looks like he's hoping to use the guy to get reelected...

I can't wait until Pacman is one on one with Anthony Mix and he gets isolated. That is either a catch or a PI call. Guaranteed. Lock it up boys.

The only secondary member from the 2006 season that was retained was Chris Hope. Reynaldo Hill who was plain awful was replaced by Nick Harper and Michael Griffin who i am sure you are familiar with came in to replace Lamont Thomspon who was also bad. Andre Woolfork who was the nickle corner is no longer in the league.

Peter Simon the MLB who BTW also is not in the league was replaced with Fowler who while not spectacular was a solid force for them.

Albert Haynseworth also decided to show up in his contract year and became a force and Randy Starks was replaced by Tony Brown who performed more consistently. This helped Vanden Bosch who had a down year in 2006 almost double his sack totals from 6.5 to 12.

So basically other than Jones 2 corners and a safety and a DT were replaced and Haynesworth finally decided to play and Vanden Bosch didnt have a down year.

that entire defense was changed. Other than Jones, 4 starters were replaced two of which are no longer in the league as well as the nickel corner and two DL basically doubled their production from the previous season.

We actually have been over this before and you know better than what you just posted.

I still maintain innocent til proven guilty. Vick was proven guilty but I know I didn't have enough personal knowledge or authority to pass judgement.

As for jones i am not defending him. if you were to read my posts, you would know that i said that while jones may not have pulled the trigger or told someone to pull the trigger, his causing a fight led to the club being cleared which led to the shooting. Considering that he was in the vicinity of his father being shot to death, i hope he can get it through his knucklehead that that was someones daddy that was shot within a hundred yards of him.

Jones has anger problems. If you look at the charges other than his crackhead mothers weed all of the charges were him getting pissed and starting a fight.

The fight at the bar, getting into it with those two cousins, charging the cop, and so on and so forth. i am not saying that he is innocent or has been picked on or anything like that. i just think hes immature, lost guidance when his grandmother, and had survivng family members that were idiots too.

i also happen to believe that our program led by Calvin Hill is his best chance for getting back on the right path in the NFL. if you look at his rap sheet, up until his senior year at WVU with that bar incident he didnt get into trouble. he was on the honor roll etc.

i also know that he got a 13 on the wonderlic, which quite frankly means hes not the brightest bulb in the box but for him to be able to maintain at least a 3.0 he would have had to work his tail off. his major was coaching but that still meant he had to take his core requirements and lets just say that the schools in and around college park in atlanta arent the best.

its a 2 year period from the end of his senior year all the way up to february of last yearwhere he got arrested 6 times. Previous to that time he was able to succeed at a very high level at WVU and become a top notch corner in the NFL and you cannot tell me that hes just a loser because for most of his life he was able to be successful.

i think the Cowboys can help him get back to that. hes got a baby girl tot hink about, and he has to know that hes on his last legs. if he screws up we just cut him but if he can get back to what he used to be then its good for all parties involved.

i will never condemn or judge anyone unless I have personal knowledge of the situation. thats just a personal ethic of mine

i just said let it play out in court and see how it goes. remember the entire discussion about the US judicial system? But hey if you want to think that you can judge and condemn a person based on newspaper clippings more power to you. its just not something im willing to do.
