Vick's got a new date for his trial in Virginia, don't look for him to be coming back any time soon...
At first, Gerald Poindexter tried to shield Vick from trouble, now it looks like he's hoping to use the guy to get reelected...
I still maintain innocent til proven guilty. Vick was proven guilty but I know I didn't have enough personal knowledge or authority to pass judgement.
As for jones i am not defending him. if you were to read my posts, you would know that i said that while jones may not have pulled the trigger or told someone to pull the trigger, his causing a fight led to the club being cleared which led to the shooting. Considering that he was in the vicinity of his father being shot to death, i hope he can get it through his knucklehead that that was someones daddy that was shot within a hundred yards of him.
Jones has anger problems. If you look at the charges other than his crackhead mothers weed all of the charges were him getting pissed and starting a fight.
The fight at the bar, getting into it with those two cousins, charging the cop, and so on and so forth. i am not saying that he is innocent or has been picked on or anything like that. i just think hes immature, lost guidance when his grandmother, and had survivng family members that were idiots too.
i also happen to believe that our program led by Calvin Hill is his best chance for getting back on the right path in the NFL. if you look at his rap sheet, up until his senior year at WVU with that bar incident he didnt get into trouble. he was on the honor roll etc.
i also know that he got a 13 on the wonderlic, which quite frankly means hes not the brightest bulb in the box but for him to be able to maintain at least a 3.0 he would have had to work his tail off. his major was coaching but that still meant he had to take his core requirements and lets just say that the schools in and around college park in atlanta arent the best.
its a 2 year period from the end of his senior year all the way up to february of last yearwhere he got arrested 6 times. Previous to that time he was able to succeed at a very high level at WVU and become a top notch corner in the NFL and you cannot tell me that hes just a loser because for most of his life he was able to be successful.
i think the Cowboys can help him get back to that. hes got a baby girl tot hink about, and he has to know that hes on his last legs. if he screws up we just cut him but if he can get back to what he used to be then its good for all parties involved.
