Did Pacman ever spend any time in jail?

jail yes prison no. hes never been remanded awaiting trial either. basically he gets arrested posts bail/bond and then goes to trial later. hes on probabtion on an obstruction charge for i believe two years but other than that hes in the clear.

if he screws up again he has a lot more to worry about than a team cutting him. he'll serve time.

We should be using the Patriot's deal of a 4th round pick for Randy Moss as the starting point, and dealing down from there. Moss is a better receiver than Pacman is a CB, and Moss was not a risk to get suspended. I'd be OK with a 4, but I think a 5 is the right place to be.

I would NOT be ok with 4th rounder. 5th or lower......

This reminds me a lot of the Lance Briggs talks that the Commanders were involved in last year. The deal ended up not getting done over the inclusion of Rocky. These deals fall through a lot. 3rd round vs. a 6th rounder is a lot of ground to make up. I think Jones will stick to his guns because the Titans will just end up cutting him anyways.

ESPN had a dude from SI.com on first and ten this morning. His opinion was if the Boys sign Pac, they will trade up for DMC:D You should be Pac's #1 fan if this is true.

..I agree.

While some here want to think that the Cowboys will draft a CB with one of their #1's..regardless whether we sign Pacman or not..

I disagree.

If Pacman is signed and he gets a green light to play prior to TC..then that changes Dallas' draft considerably.

A huge need is filled at CB and then we are suddenly looking at doing a trade for DMAC because RB and WR are going to be filled with 2nd RD talent at our #22 and #28 spots by most accounts if we stay where we are and that's not great value compared to bringing in a top 5 player like DMAC.

We can then look at WR to be drafted with our 2nd Rd. pick and we might even see another trade to move up into the second rd. more to go after whatever WR the Cowboys want to go after at the top of the rd.

Then CB can be addressed in the 3rd rd. as what we are talking about needing at that point is a 4th string CB need..not a #3 CB..there is a big difference in value there and that player could be found in the 3rd rd...easily.

If Dallas comes out of this draft with a franchise RB, a former top 6 pick in PacMan via trade and then is able to move up and take a quality WR in the 2nd rd..and a quality 4th CB in the 3rd..

..this draft and off season would be WOW by anybodies standards.

And I still think Miami and Parcells somehow are involved with whatever we do to get DMAC.

I can see Miami doing a trade to move back from the 1st position and trading places with somebody in the top 4 spots and then if DMAC is there at Miami's spot, they do a trade with us for our 2 #1's plus something else thrown in.

Possibly somebody off the roster Parcells would want to help his rebuilding. Plus it would probably help if we could unload them to open up for cap room to help afford drafting DMAC.

We then take DMAC.

The Parcells to Dallas connection is going to play out somehow..I just have a feeling.

And the Pacman deal is a fulcrum for this to be set in motion.

We'll see.

I think this deal gets done today, before Jerry leaves for the owners' meetings.

I still don't get that.

You willing to put all your eggs in Pacman's basket like that? Not me.

This is a pass happy league. You need at least 3 good CB's. Even if we do get Pacman, what happens if he flames out or if someone gets hurt?

I absolutely go CB in the first round. That position is just to critical to roll the dice on ruining a possible super bowl season.

Guarantee you Jerry and Pacman know what Goodell is thinking in regards to his reinstatement. The people involved know a lot more than those of us on the outside looking in.

To discuss this as if Jerry is hoping Pacman gets reinstated is to be naive about the situation. Of course, Pacman has to stay out of trouble between now and reinstatement.

I also agree with Redball and others that say this portends a move up for McFadden.

You know that music in Mars Attacks that made the aliens heads explode? its kinda like that so just like cluster munitions it should be banned.

You know whats funny about that movie.... every time I see McCain's wife following him around she looks like she is hovering as she moves... reminds me of that movie... and her face...

Back to PacMan... we have all the leverage.. dont give in to the Titans... if we dont get him then so be it.

I don't get it either.

Trading for Pacman is a good idea because it's a low risk/high reward move.

You could obtain a quality player at a discount price.

But if you change your draft strategy and not draft a first round cornerback and count on Pacman to behave?

That changes it into a high risk/high reward move, making it much more risky and therefore less appealing.

A CB will be taken by the end of day 1.

Can someone please tell me if we have to take his current contract?
or
Can we renegotiate it prior to signing him?
or
Does he have to redo his deal with Tennessee before we trade for him?
or
Can we negotiate after we trade for him?

Yes, unless he renegotiates with Tennessee first...
No, unless it's just a deal in principle...
No
Yes

Jones stated the other day that he would honor his current contract with any other team which averages under 2 mil a year for two more years I believe...

Why does everybody want McFadden? We have a really good back in Barber, all the boys need is one that will split playing time. I see McFadden being the starter on some team with all the hype he gets

Agree...while McFadden is intriguing, it'd be just too expensive imo. Its still going to be a pass oriented offense so its not like Barber's going to be getting 30 carries a game anyway.

Well here is where I'm confused. Adam is reporting that it's happening soon, and keeps mentioning a 4th.

There is an article over at ESPN that says Dallas initial offer was a 7th but that was turned down so they've now offered a 7th and a player.

So which is it?
