Report: Quanis Phillips was shot, after confrontation with Vick PFT but vick not invo

Vick is hard of learning.

If you're on probation, and in Goodell's doghouse, (no pun intended), you don't have your birthday party at a club at 2 a.m.

That shouldn't be a hard concept to grasp.

The Eagles have commented on the Vick situation. Basically they say they have no comment on the Vick situation.

The Philadelphia Eagles have released the following statement on the shooting that took place at Michael Vick's birthday party:

"We are aware of the incident that occurred in Virginia early this morning and are in the process of gathering all of the facts. Until then, we will not have any comment on this matter"

It would really suck for Vick if that guy showed up uninvited and caused all of this.

Because yeah ..that guy probably MADE the guy pull the gun on him and shoot him.

In our most recent item regarding The Summer of Vick, The Sequel, we explained that the question of whether he had direct or indirect involvement in the reported shooting of former Bad Newz Kennels associate Quanis Phillips has far less relevance than the apparent fact that Vick was in the same place as Phillips.

And while this rekindled association, if true, could jeopardize Vick's status with the federal government and the National Football League, the mere whiff of a problem could be enough to get the Eagles to cut the cord.

For now, the team hasn't said much of anything. Per Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the team issued the following statement: "We are aware of the incident that occurred in Virginia early this morning and are in the process of gathering all of the facts. Until then, we will not have any comment on this matter."

Depending on what they learn, the Eagles may opt for action instead of commentary. Before doing so, however, they'd better have a damn good plan in place for backing up Kevin Kolb.

Then again, they arguably don't have a damn good plan in place for backing up Kolb even with Vick on the team.

Because he did what he was supposed to do in staying away from those guys and they brought the trouble to him.

I'm not excusing the person who shot the guy but to say that Vick intentionally put himself in the situation is nonsense from the sounds of the story.

Just send Vick back to Jail and be done with him for good. If there was a confrontation between the felon then Vick should be held responsible. Doesn't matter if the other dude crashed the party. Vick should have told some one in his posse to escort him out of the building and have nothing to do with him. Stupid is as stupid does.

I'm a huge VATech fan so I used to have a glimpse of hope for Vick, however between him and his brother what a waste. Atleast Marcus was smart and ruined his career early instead of acting like he was a changed person.

I hope he doesnt get suspended I now enjoy watching him fail.

How about providing us with a Vick 'win' situation.

Sorry, many of us who blasted Vick for his cruel ways also said a big part of his activities created a culture of no good in which not just dogs, but people are in harm's way.

It appears we were right on with that...and our detractors have learned nothing.
