They're you go again. Moving the goalposts. You said "all things point to Dak being the one who hasn't signed with them". I bolded the "all things" and asked you, "like what?".

What are all these things that point to it being Dak that is not interested in a new contract in Dallas?

It's a simple and fair question in response to your statement.
I think you misunderstood me. What I’m saying is if Dak wanted this done it would be done. If he wanted to sign for 40 million it would be done. If he wants 60 there’s no incentive to get this done. They can just wait it out.

Again I ask, what are these "all things" that point to that?

If its just your opinion based on a gut feeling, that's fine, but you indicated there were tangible examples to support that opinion and I'm curious as to what they are because I have seen nothing to support that.

I don't see anything that points to that. What am I missing?

If Lance shows in preseason that he's passable as a starter Dak will cut or traded at final roster cuts - ths is the most economical option.
How is it economical? Isn't there 40M in void years that would immediately accelerate?

Strictly opinion based. Just like the poster I was responding to that said Lance was why the Cowboys haven’t signed Dak.

I think you’re right about the first part. If Dak wanted $40m or I’d argue even $50m it would have been done months ago.

If Dak is looking to max out on his new deal there is zero incentive for him to sign anything right now. I would say that the cowboys should be motivated to get a deal done though simple because after this season that $60m could look pretty cheap. Cap will go up another 10 percent or so and now you’ve got other teams in the mix. $65-70m becomes very realistic.

Oh I agree with you. But from the Cowboys perspective….sign him for 60 now or wait to sign him for 63-65? I think they’d take their chances.

What do you think Prescott's thinking if he hits free agency after this season and let's say his offers are all between 50 in 55 so the highest bidder is 55 does he allow the Dallas Cowboys to come in and pay him 55 or does he leave for that 55 somewhere else would he stay a cowboy once he knows his market and his Max money put any number in there but I'm just using these numbers...

I'm curious if we allow him to become a free agent would he be so upset at us that he just won't let us match anything and just leaves or is he a true cowboy and wants to be a Dallas Cowboys so once his market is set does he allow the Cowboys to pay what the highest bidder offered him?

I think they run a serious risk of not just paying a few more bucks but losing the guy altogether. He could very well be over the Joneses waiting him out on yet another contract.

It’s possible but I also think if Dak felt that way he’d feel that way now. I don’t think it would just all of a sudden come after the season.

Jerry isn’t going to say anything in public to upset Dak.

But Jerry holds a grudge. (Ask Jimmy.)

And Dak emptied the stadium in the 3rd qtr.

Jerry’s stadium.

Man-crying + humiliation
Nailed it. Well said.

I'm not sure if Jerry has just cause to hold a grudge against Dak -- not nearly as much as his agent, at least. I guess we'll see, soon enough.
I wasn't aware that the stadium emptied out in the 3rd quarter, though. Is that really what happened vs. Green Bay? Fans are fickle.
Yeah there’s a video of people leaving in the 3rd qtr when it was like 41- something.

Dead money gets spread over 2 years.. We save his full 2024 regular salary.
Right. But the dead cap would be 66M over 2 years. We have 10M in space. How do we get out from under 56M?

Anyone who thought Dak wouldn't get signed is crazy. They do not have the stones to move on from him.
