I like Dak, he’s an outstanding human and a good qb but it’s been 9 years people. I just do not get the we have to resign Dak argument. Roll the dice and go with Lance, he flames out we are sitting pretty for a qb in this upcoming draft. Hell I would trade Dak now for 3 1’s and a couple of 2’s and a 3! Hell, I would trade Dak for much less actually. How boring is it going to be this year with the same old Dak under center, give me youth and potential under center. Would make for a much more exciting season.

Another 12 win season would be outstanding especially if they win in the playoffs. To top it off they are expected to be even better in 2025. If everything goes well it will make a lot of you look ridiculous.
And if not...
Then what? Will that make a lot of you look ridiculous?
Ifs and buts.
If "ifs and buts" were "candy and nuts" oh what a party it would be...lol/smh.

The fact that the naysayers can see the obvious lack of talent In Daks play is the primary observation factor and reason why most are finally waking up to the fact that Dak is Dak and he won't be back, he wants to entertain FA and Jerry is ready to eat it.
Just an average to good NFL starting caliber QB, which means he would love to entertain free agency in a QB desperate league.
Don't care about the politics anymore with Dak one way or another, be a champ or pack your bags chump.
Regardless what fans think or want , our owner is not SB or Bust.

While he’d love to win another SB, remaining relevant and interesting is enough to hype his iconic brand spurring record revenue.

And like him or not Dak provides Jethro a consistent playoff contender.

A lot of fans might agree but our opinions don’t matter.

It’s about what our owner thinks with his agendas and priorities all intertwined together which isn’t always what’s best for Cowboys Football .

Oh really, is that why people thought it meant that the Cowboys were going all-in during free agency? Or that they were going all-in by getting Dak, Micah, and Lamb signed as quickly as possible? Or that they are all-in by just letting the contracts play out this year?

If you buy anything the Jones’s say as genuine, forthright, sincere, clear, without indirection, etc., and without the ability to be modified post facto, you probably bought that bridge.
Jones said they were going all in signing their own free agents. Shocked you didn’t know that. Not.

Funny you post this. Was just now sitting here thinking how I truly don’t care one way or the other if they retain him or not. I do not fully believe they can’t win with him, even with the big salary, nor would I mind if they have several down years before landing the next QB.

I am not at all content with just being a contender, but with this front office, the idea of nailing a first round QB on a rookie deal who is ready to play immediately and then spending the savings on multiple free agents is some sort of ridiculous pipe dream.

There’s just no way these two walk away from Prescott voluntarily and risk being exposed. A rebuild with the two clowns running it wouldn’t be pretty, but they do indeed deserve to be humiliated. Prescott prevents that, and Todd France knows all about it.
Exactly. Every player on this team is going to be a former Cowboy someday. It's been 29 years now since this team has done it right and that is all I worry about right now.

To add to what you said, this team is comfortable where they are. They would rather be a playoff team "hanging around the rim" or whatever Cap Boy calls it than risk two things: going all in for one season like the Rams once did, or getting rid of Dak and doing the rebuild.

And I agree, going through a rebuild with the clown show in the front office is scary. If they wanted to rebuild, they should have flipped Dak, Lamb, and Micah for 1st round picks this offseason and replaced them for five years with cheaper first round contracts (in theory).

1) No one knows what “all-in” means still.
I’m one of the biggest anti-Jerry guys around, but mixed in his normal rambling, it sounded to me he was talking about being all in on our players and getting contracts done for Micah, CeeDee and possibly Dak.

Especially him saying this after it was clear Big Mike was coming back with just one yr left on his contract with no extension prior to this season, if at all.

But in typical Jerry fashion he used a phrase that could and was easily misconstrued. It took on a life of its own and been trying to back track and then double down ever since.

The contract has been so mishandled up until this point where you have to not pay him. But who knows what this front office will do? Dallas owes 90 million to the cap on top of an extension. They can't do that. This isn't Mahomes or Joe Montana. Just cut hm loose.

Any top 10 QB would have been signed by now no way the deal isn't done by March 13th.
He is not a top 10 QB and I dare to say Tier 3 is as far as he can be considered.
They are done with Dak heck they haven't even made a lowball offer and on the other side of the coin you got desperate Dak saying "I don't care about the Money"
Why is he soooooooooooooooo desperate well he understands once he leaves Dallas he is DOA wherever he goes.
Man remember my word as after what we are about to witness this season (against real teams not Dogs galore) his demand in the FA market will be much lower than folks would expect.

Yep, either way we aren’t winning anything significant anytime soon.
