Anyone else ever embarrassed by the Cowboy fan base?

This from a guy who's location shows: "Orbiting Uranus, targeting Klingons".

You're kidding right?

Long story short, it's all in good fun, that is my feeling on the closure to the Terry Glenn episode. It's apparently over, and one more crack at the situation was in order. Luckily the Terry Glenn episode is over.. no more discussions in the forum, so now everyone can be happy.

Thanks for the memories Terry, hope the knee holds up even though now you don't have a QB worth speaking about to throw you the ball. There I said something positive.

Of all the players who were "Friends of Bill" that we brought over, he was by far my favorite and the most productive.

I for one enjoyed your little bit of fan-fiction ;)

Anyone surprised?

Whether you agree with him or not, obviously Terry felt insulted that Jerry asked him to sign a waiver after he busted hump to return from two surgeries last year. If that's the case, I don't see why it's so shocking that he'd want to go work for an employer he knows and trusts will treat him well.

For the Dolphins standpoint, they have the most cap space in the league after letting Taylor go. They probably won't quibble with Glenn over a couple of hundred k. Even if he never plays a down for them, the experience he brings to the lockerroom and to their young players is invaluable. Ask Patrick Crayton and all the other WR's who were going on and on about how Terry helped them. Aside for a nasty habit of uriinating in odd places, he's one of the few WR's in the NFL that has produced at a high level that doesn't have a borderline personality disorder.

Me too ... I loved the guy and still do. I was in the small group of fans who wanted to see him return.. but now that he's gone, I'm just happy to know that the silly contract saga is over. At least now we know where the receiver corp stands.

Kinda off topic but anyone know if Terry is married?

Kids?
I'm not the resident expert, but yeah he's married with a few kids. I wanna say he has more than two.

Mine, too. Good teammate, good player, hard worker. What more can you ask of a player besides good health?

Kinda thought to myself when he was released that he was the last of the Parcells Guys. Kinda gonna miss him like I miss La Roi. Biz is biz tho.

Hey, that's a metaphor. And in context, you're a Klingon. But now I take it back, because you said something nice.

TY. He seemed like a very pvt person, and I don't think I ever heard about his personal life at all. Of course he's not dead... he's seems like a pvt person lol.

Yes, he is married, has a son from a previous relationship, and more kids with his wife.

Terry Glenn will be a progress stopper for their young wrs. Him and Ted Ginn are the same type of player.

Alternatively, maybe Bill brought him in to mentor Ginn and other young WRs. That would be very Parcellsy of him.

Good, I appreciate that. You can check my posts out... I have a nice track record of defending Glenn. He's been one of my favorite players since he came here (heck I even liked him back in New England), and I wanted him to stay. But he's gone now, and I'm just glad it's one less ounce of drama to fuss about. On to bigger fish...

They probably only have about 18-20 NFL caliber players on the whole roster. Something tells me they have a roster spot or two to give.

In that case, I retract it completely. It seems I spend half my time on this forum defending unpopular players.

TG was a stud for us, and a good value. We wanted to change the terms of the contract (understandably), he reluctantly agreed to it, then we decided we were better off letting him go. Cowboy fans should have nothing bad to say about the man whatsoever.

:laugh2: I think it's safe to say we all predicted this the minute Glenn was released by Dallas... No earth shattering news there honestly.

Depends. Are you the same guy who authored the "Adam is a lot smarter than you guys" missive--the most embarrassing, BFF, homoerotic post in CZ's short history? If not, I apologize. If so, you have a lot of nerve. My money's on the latter.

Oh no doubt.

I actually think he was worth the risk even if we were to pay the full contract out (nobody yell at me please, it's just my opinion)...

I joke about every player, even the ones I love to death. I am married with children and the CEO of a national corporation, and this forum is one of the few places I can actually just be completely relaxed... so I just have fun here. I never take myself too seriously. If I say something in jest, I rarely mean it. I'm just having fun. This forum is really one of the highlights of my day, and I love chatting with each and every one of you.
