Resigning Miles Austin

Fixed that for you.

The Commanders have a better chance to win next years SB in Dallas than Austin has playng somewhere else next year.

You are right, Sensabaugh is doing great for us lately.

every player knows that Jerry will take care of you. We rarely lose UFAs that we want to keep.

Can anyone recall the last guy we really wanted to hold on to that we didn't? I'd say Randall Godfrey was the last one we lost - and that was a long damn time ago

not the last guy, but perhaps the most important...

Ken Norton. :(

True but in Norton's case the league was just starting FA and salary cap considering all the other young talent at that time Dallas had to bite the bullet on Norton.

I'd say Brock Marion.
He was a big lose for the boys.

The question I find myself asking is not will he, but how much...

Yes it was a bit of a loss but Brock was not what I would call a star player as Miles is turning into. Yes Brock was good and played very well for us but not what I would call great.

Thanks to the Roy deal, Austin's agent is going to have serious leverage.

Austin deserves to get paid like the Fitzgeralds, Marshalls, and Waynes of the world - but I hate having 15-20 million per tied up in the WR position. Especially considering we're still paying T.O.

I would not mind seeing Jerry use Austin as trade collateral.

Gee, maybe we can get another 10 picks in the 5th round or later...dumb

I think he was a good player as was Teague but pro bowl or not and lets be real there are players who go to the Pro bowl who do not always deserve the honor. More and more the Pro Bowl is a bit of a joke. Brock was good but never felt losing him was critical. When it has come to some critcal players Jerry has gotten it done.

siavii has been an adequate back up to rat and would be cheap. cant pay everybody you know.

If he is so good why doesn't he get a snap?

I'd look for an upgrade. Oh, and where did I say pay for an expensive FA?
