Here's the official article. A touch better on the 40 (not sure which number is official) and a cheeseburger lighter than what my guy reported:

Kelly not pleased with OU after pro day

By Jake Trotter
Staff Writer

NORMAN — Former Oklahoma wide receiver Malcolm Kelly didn't have the pro day performance Wednesday that he wanted.

And he's putting some of the blame on OU.

Kelly, who ran the 40-yard dash in 4.68 seconds, said he wasn't told by the OU strength staff until this morning that the location of the pro day had been moved from Astroturf in the Mosier Center to field turf inside the Everest Indoor Training Center.

"I had everything set up for where I wanted to do it at," Kelly said. "I get up here this morning and it's a whole different deal. This is my life. It's got to do with me and my family. This is what I do, play football, and I'm supposed to run as fast as I can. I was slipping all over the place during my drill work. I can't say I'm pleased with anything today."

Kelly said he had been preparing for the last month to test on Astroturf and was running the 40 in under 4.5 seconds on that surface.

"People want to say surface is surface, but it's a lot more to it than that," Kelly said. "You have to think about how much ground time you have running on this mushy surface here and how much ground time you have on Astroturf.

"Just a little bit of time could mean a whole lot of draft money."

Kelly, who measured in at 6-foot-4 and 227 pounds, reached 32 inches in the vertical jump and 9 feet, 9 inches in the long jump. He posted times of 4.24 in the short shuttle and 7.00 in the three-cone drill.

Kelly looked sharp running routes and catching the ball during receiver drills.
He is flying to Cincinnati to meet with Bengals personnel later today.

Bengals offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski was among the more than 30 coaches and scouts who attended OU's second pro day, which included former Sooner defensive back Reggie Smith, tight end Joe Jon Finley and cornerback Marcus Walker

Physicals are done at the combine; are they also done at a pro-day? If not how does a team check the player out medically?

Interesting stuff. If what he says is true about the turf at the indoor facility, perhaps he does have a reason to be upset...

What a silly comment. You are saying you are in the draft and you could care less where you are drafted? You do realize that where one is selected has a whole lot to do w/ how much money one gets?

I am the same at my office. When a recruiter calls me about networking positions elsewhere, the first thing I ask about is my salary.

I can't fault the kid for being upset he is about to lose out on a few million dollars.

Just what do you do for a living where salary isn't a concern for you?

Any real report on Kelly's knees?

Or was that just a rumor?

I think he could still end up being good value in the 2nd round.

I don't blame Malcolm for being upset. That's his future on the line.

I think that he and Reggie both end up being great bargains - possibly in the second round. But if I was Dallas, and I couldn't get the receiver I wanted via trade, Kelly would be a great consolation, in my opinion.

Kelly's from Longview, is that close enough for him to be a Dallas area invite?

Bring him in and rerun him.

People were the same w/ Bowe last year. What? Did you see that 40 time he ran? No thanks.

Bowe goes out and is the best rookie WR in the league that year.

Yeah. I would still draft MK.

Bowe ran a 4.51, I think. He's physical and didn't have injury concerns. Kelly has like....none of that.

I was all over Bowe. I'd stay away from Kelly, big time.

In an effort to put to rest the lingering rumors about Malcolm Kelly's arthritic knees, his agent has sent out a medical report from a physician stating that Kelly is 100 percent healthy and will participate fully at his pro day April 9. Kelly was diagnosed with a small quadriceps tear on Feb. 14. He wasn't fully cleared by his doctor until March 20th which is why he missed the combine and Oklahoma's first pro day.

Well lets just disagree and let that lay. Thanks much!

Thanks, Dooms.

I think Kelley could be very good value in the 2nd. Though I doubt he falls to our 2nd round pick.

Is that what I said?

My problem is that he dodged workouts since the draft, gets a chance to finally be healthy and show what he can do, screws it up (I could care less about his excuses) and turns it around on everybody that helped get him his shot to begin with.

He's just got a rotten attitude. His pro day goes poorly and the first chance he gets, he brings up the money he's losing?

What is that whistling sound I hear? Sounds like the former #1 WR prospect plumetting.

That's that possible 28th pick for Roy Williams becoming the 22nd pick.

You don't know the kid and you never have followed him througout his career at OU but all of the sudden you are the knowallbeall of MK. Yeah! Ok!

I stopped reading when your personal attacks on MK started.

Your debate isn't a debate. Its hate.

There's nothing to disagree about. There weren't concerns about Bowe's speed, or his ability to stay healthy.

Kelly is just one giant red flag.

Seriously. Have your opinion on the matter. WE DISAGREE. What about that can you not understand? You don't have to keep quoting me here bro. For real. I get it. You aren't an MK fan. That is fine.

Allow me to be one. Pretty simple request.
