Return of the Dak

Beasley was suppressed, twill scored no tds, and Noah had five catchez last year, and the rest have not played a down in a Cowboys uniform..Conner as well..I think he will integrate in..Im sure the new ofensive line coach will handle up, but we havent seen anything yet...

Id allow a little reality..
The problem is you clearly don't follow this team as closely as I do...no disrespect intended. I'm stating it because all of your arguments ignore context, which is the "reality" of the situation.

Stats are like bikini's; they reveal alot, but what they hide is crucial. By the way, I didn't say that...some analyst that I don't feel like looking up...but it's true.

Take your arguments regarding Noah Brown. He was used as a blocker more often than not. That was part of the "predictability indictment" levied at the coaches. They did not target him...he was more of a decoy.

To be clear, I'm not saying he's the next starter...but it's unfair to criticize his ability considering his lack of opportunities.

The guy I suspect you may be underestimating is Gallup. He was a steal. This kid is on a different kind of mental level regarding the receiver position as compared to most rookies and he was arguably the second best route runner in the draft.

This is not hyperbole, the Cowboys offense will surprise, but our defense could be the Achilles Heel.

Ive been a Cowboy fan since 1970! I can smell bumps in the road..If you havent developed a nose for the Jones BS..
I read my stuff endlessly so it is a good thing I have a talent for it...otherwise I would bore myself to sleep.

I understand how it may appear...but if you read closely, I am acknowledging all the potential pitfalls throughout the op.

Or have you not actually read it yet?

I READ it when i responded to it several days ago..

I hope Dak, gets more comfortable in the pocket, and the oline gets back to their dominating ways.

However, the crap last year not soley on the feet of the former X..Linehan had alot to do with this crap, as did Stephen for fing up with the personnel..removing a piece of the problem and a nice sec blanket for Dak..Not what I call happy times..

Linehan needs to get wrustled and do some coaching crap..

Believe it or not, Dak needs to appreciate what the team has jettisoned for him...Take care if his side and get this team back..im getting bored with the drama!

Fair enough. I get it. You will have to see it to believe. Nothing but that will change your mind...I understand. But I think this offense has alot more talent then you are giving it credit for...but I too could be wrong...like I said in the op, a few other things will have to go right.

I think this year's intrigue centers around what to expect when there aren't many known skill players that have played together. Sure, we knew what Witten and Dez were capable of, but that's why they play the game. I recall, "The Dirty Dozen," of 1975 in which 12 rookies helped the Cowboys go to SB X!
Anything is possible.

WHAT am i underestimating..The kid hasnt caught a pass for the Cowboys..Lolol. .You just keep on whiffing..

Between the two of us, Im way closer to the reality. ROOKIES and Fas make mistakes, and take time to integrate..Temper your enthusiasm..Going to get bumpy for awhile!

I think it has less known talent..Coz havent seen..The running game should be better but that will be dependent on Conner pulling his weight and swaim and another tightend pulling their load..

We dont know if that willl happen..Simple as that..The wr are a pit in the back yard!

This gd team has gone from penthouse to outhouse alt years twice in last four....Its hard to be an optimist!

You didn't read the op, then...so this conversation is for naught.

Bro. I dont care about the Op..But saying that taking away the distraction of Dez is going to make all the issues from last year go away is Naive at best..Its Daks burden now, because all of the previous skills are history..nobody else to spread the blame on..Yeah that should make it easier!!

BAHAWHAWHAW.

My goodness you are down on those receivers. This is ping pong at this point. I'm putting the paddle down...

Good night good sir...it was fun debating with you.

Dak has typically been good at spreading the ball around, I'm not that down on the WRs. Yeah, it helps to have "the guy" out there, but we can get the job done with unselfish play.

I think we'll see a lot of guys catching balls, and Dak returns to being a highly efficient, low TO guy. I also think we may use his feet a bit more, especially in 3-4 WR sets.

I also expect to see him make better line calls, RPOs, take advantage of mismatches, etc.

All we need is for him to be highly efficient and keep TOs low, which has kinda been his MO. If you can win the passing differential battle and TO battle on top of this run game, you can beat anyone.

Nice assessment. He has a better chance of that as long as injuries are kept at a minimum.
