I think Jerry got lucky with Jimmy. He doesn't have an eye for effective leadership, starting with the man he sees in the mirror everyday.

I agree, say this out loud "I think I'm going to fire my 2 time defending Super Bowl Champion head coach today". It just doesn't even sound right.

why not? (genuinely curious)
Because it would make too much since for us fans.

But seriously, I think prominent Coaches see what happened with Parcells and want nothing to do with an overreaching Owner/GM. They also know that they'll have very little say in personnel/coaching staff, too. Maybe when Stephen takes the helm, and McClay is named the GM will we be a desirable place for a Real Deal Coach.

This stuff cracks me up..."let's dump Garrett, and replace him with (fill in the blank)".....none of this will ever happen, Red is here to stay, and thus, our chances of winning anything will depend entirely on luck and extreme health...notice, I didn't mention coaching acumen...and, some of the names I have seen are laughable but that idiot coaching the U of Michigan is the best (he sucks royally)....the Saints currently have the same record as Dallas, for all of the people saying NO will crumble while Dallas will be ok....

btw, love Sean, just won't EVER happen

It's difficult to judge Payton recently because the ownership situation in NO is so toxic, i don't think anyone could win down there now until that all gets resolved.

He'd be so good for Dak though, so good.
