I think Steven has a lot to say nowadays. If we don't make the playoffs and win at least one then I can see Steven starting a new reign of coaches. I believe Romo would be brought in as the offense coordinator if not the coach.
I think that's a valid point. He's definitely been more involved in the offseason these last few years. Maybe he'd have his dads ear enough to convince him that a change is necessary

Jerry has gotten to old for changes. We are stuck with Garrett.

I think Payton signing a bottle of wine at Jerrys table saying superbowl champs won't get him invited to The Star anytime soon.

The NFL is nearly 100 years old.

How many coaches have won championships with two different teams?

Weeb Ewbank, come on down!

At one point there was buzz of him being HC here which unfortunately never happened. However now there are a few factors that make me believe it's possible:
-the saints are terrible and brees is on the wrong side of 30
- Jerry always loved Payton
- There's only so much excuse making for JG
- Payton can develop Dak
- Payton has a home in the metroplex
- Payton has championship pedigree
- Payton is more innovative and would maximize Dez talent

Am I wrong? Would a losing season potentially lead to discussion of JG being shown the door?

Drew Brees has been awesome for years, and Payton can't even put enough defense on the field to get a wild card spot. His SB win was 9 seasons ago. They've gone 7-9 the last 3 seasons.

If you like losing 38-34 often, Payton is your guy.

Everyone has their warts, no one is perfect. But I feel like Payton would at least bring enough to the offense to get us to the next level. Our offense is vanilla, our defense is vanilla. We seem stagnant and I don't see Red taking us to the promise land any time soon

Yeah..and would he really want to join Jerry's circus again. I doubt it.

I think hed love to work with our offense. The chance to come to Dallas and win a championship is an epic oppurtunity. So maybe???

21-27 last three years. 7-9 7-9 7-9. A consistent .438 coach with HOF QB. Bring him in!!!!

Payton wouldn't fit with Dak and we wouldn't have a TE who can stretch the field. Brees made a living dumping the ball off to his RB and TEs and that offense haven't been the same since losing Graham.

My vote is Harbaugh since he knows defense is just as impt as offense, he likes to run the ball, and he allows the QB to play the best to his ability.
