Right so, fix the OL, find a stud RB or two, then a solid WR2.

Thought QBs making top dollar wouldn’t need all that, nor could the team afford it.
Not everyone is Mahomes man. Beyond him, just about every qb needs those things to win.

You thought top QBs wouldn't need a solid run game and run defense?

Since Eisen is part of the cabal that tried to Rail Road the Buffalo Kicker Before all of the evidence was in, I no Longer Count him as a credible source.

He's a puppet and I no longer find him reliable

Very odd that people think the QB should be enough based on salary while other areas just aren't very good. No doubt Prescott has to be better but so does everything else including the run game which really has been terrible. You want to win playoff games, the rushing attack is equally important.
Nobody is disputing that. You’re 100% correct. The issue is you have to limit the guy who was a supposed “mvp” candidate because he just can’t do what’s needed, and people want to give him the richest contract in league history. How are you going to do that and surround him with talent? This is an 8 year player that the owner has just come out and said the scheme is not the issue and he has to improve. Thats the issue here.

He's not the exception at all.
He is clearly in a class by himself. By definition, he is the exception.

No one can win by themselves but he is able to carry more of the load than any other QB.

And he still has a better surrounding cast than what is here. I’m not the one making the Mahomes comparison in the first place but the insinuation in an earlier post is that he does exactly that. Carries the team and wins by himself.

It’s not limiting your QB when your RB allows you to manage a football game.

Jones “All-In” Rich Eisen’s Advice for Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones.

Rich Eisen Talks Of Derrick Henry.. Give Dak fewer throws that he has to make and fewer moments where Dak has to be the guy..

Rich Is Spot On and Absolutely Makes Sense..

Well yes, we need a much stronger running game and a better run defence. Dak's been a solid QB (obviously, not Mahomes, but he's been damn good, especially this past season). However, every QB needs a running game, and Pollard is not a lead back. Give me DH and the back from either NC State or Texas, and let's get this running game going. As for LB, give me the best linebackers in FA and the draft possible. If we can do this, I think Dak can become more effective, and it'll allow us to control clock better.

Get a oline or (oline coach) that can run block bring in King Henry and draft a young speedster with some wiggle in his game and fix that defense and let us get to the promise land.

Give Dak Benson (RB Florida State) or the TX back and Peyton (LB NC State) and that should help him a lot in being able to control the clock. Especially if we can also get another nose tackle.

Exactly, maybe if we could stop the run and control the clock with an effective ground game of our own, we might've been the 1 seed.

Supposedly, that was Mccarthy's plan but the running game sort of stopped working. They failed in the draft in 2023. Instead of going after a offensive tackle and a linebacker to stop the run, they drafted a defensive tackle and a tight end. They needed a 1 tech tackle. However, they didn't know how to use Mazi or he just isn't very good. The tight end wasn't needed as we already had one that is really good. It was a wasted draft, it appears. Bad management does that for you.
.

I'm not really sure how our inability to run was a surprise. It was my biggest concern entering the season. I'm just impressed McCarthy was able to mask it as long as he did. Hopefully, this offseason will have a lot of emphasis on becoming more physical in being able to run the ball.

Thought we shoulda went after Henry at the deadline. Sure he isn’t the same guy but he could fall forward behind this line for 4 yards a pop.

Defenses still had to respect him… which woulda made things much easier on dak.
Exactly, and I wanted us to spend a 2nd on him. That should have been enough to move him, and, with the way Jerry pees away 2nd round picks, it'd have been a better investment in that round than what Jerry normally does.

It’s not limiting your QB when your RB allows you to manage a football game.
What do you think happens when you manage the QB’s passing attempts? You limit the opportunities he has to make a costly mistake or 2. Why would you pay 60 million a year for that?

Its a darn thing. $60,000,000 doesn't buy you what it used to back in the day !!
